3.3 Drainage Options

Your dehumidifier offers two methods for water removal: manual drainage using the water tank or continuous drainage via a hose.

Diagram illustrating two drainage options: manual drainage with the water tank and continuous drainage by connecting a hose to the outlet after removing the gray piston.

Figure 3.3: Two drainage options: Manual and Continuous.

3.3.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)

The unit is equipped with a 1.58 Gallon (6 L) water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically stop operating and illuminate the 'Full Water' indicator. Empty the tank as follows:

  1. Gently pull out the water tank from the back of the unit.
  2. Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain.
  3. Pour out the collected water.
  4. Slide the empty water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The dehumidifier will resume operation if the humidity level is still above the set point.

3.3.2 Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose)

For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, use the included drain hose. This is ideal for basements or areas with a nearby floor drain.

  1. Locate the drain outlet on the back of the dehumidifier.
  2. Unscrew the outlet cap.
  3. Remove the gray piston from the drain outlet. Important: If the gray piston is not removed, water will flow to the water tank, and continuous drainage will not function.
  4. Connect one end of the drain hose to the drain outlet.
  5. Ensure the other end of the hose is placed in a suitable drain, ensuring a downward slope for gravity drainage.

4. Operating Instructions

  • DEHU Mode (Dehumidifying): In this mode, the dehumidifier automatically starts and stops based on your desired humidity level, ensuring optimal comfort.
  • DRY Mode (Drying): This mode utilizes an ideal fan speed to effectively dry clothes, helping to keep them dry.
  • CONT Mode (Continuous): The dehumidifier runs continuously, reducing room humidity to the minimum level possible, suitable for constantly damp spaces.

  5. Rinse thoroughly and allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
  6. Reinsert the dry filter into the unit.

It is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  • If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean.
  • Clean the air filter.
  • Wrap the power cord neatly.
  • Store the dehumidifier in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
