2.1. What's in the Box

3. Setup and Installation

The eufy Smart Lock C33 is designed for hassle-free installation, typically taking around 15 minutes with no drilling required for standard doors. It is compatible with both left- and right-hand doors.

3.1. Door Compatibility

Ensure your door meets the following specifications:

• Door Thickness: 1 3/8" - 2 1/8" (35 mm - 55 mm)
• Cross Bore Diameter: 2 1/8" (54 mm)
• Backset Distance: 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" (60 mm or 70 mm)

This product is suitable for doors featuring a single lock hole. It is not compatible with round faceplate cutouts for the latch recess. If your latch recess is round, please contact eufy Support for a round faceplate.

3.2. Installation Steps

For a visual guide, please refer to the official installation video below. Before continuing, open your door or keep it ajar while installing. Ensure the batteries are in place before closing your door.

1. Prepare the Door: Verify door dimensions and bore holes.
2. Install the Latch: Slide the bolt into the door. Adjust the bolt length to 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" backset. Ensure the beveled edge of the lock tongue faces the direction the door swings shut. Secure with screws.
3. Install Keypad: Adjust the door handle direction on the exterior keypad by rotating it to the left or right. Ensure the handle is NOT over the door frame. Insert and tighten the screw to secure the front handle.
4. Install Mounting Bracket: Run the cable through the rectangular slot on the mounting bracket. Insert wire loom through the hole. Make sure the silicone pad is against the door. Align the mounting bracket with the threaded screw receptacles of the exterior keypad. Insert and tighten the screws to secure the mounting bracket.
5. Install Interior Assembly: Adjust the door handle direction on the interior assembly by rotating it to the left or right. Insert and tighten the screw to secure the back handle. Ensure the screw is tightened firmly and in place. Otherwise, the handle might be non-rotating. Remove the battery cover. Plug the exterior keypad cable into the socket behind the interior assembly. Ensure any excess cable is pushed into the socket to avoid clamping. Insert 8 AA Batteries, scan the QR code to connect, then reinstall the battery cover.

4.1. Unlocking Methods

• Fingerprint Recognition: Unlock instantly by placing your registered fingerprint on the sensor located on the handle. The lock learns and adapts to your usage, providing quick access. It can store up to 50 fingerprints.
• Keypad Passcode: Enter your personalized passcode on the backlit keypad. The Anti-Peeping Password feature allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing it.
• eufy Security App: Control your lock remotely from anywhere using the eufy Security app on your smartphone. You can unlock/lock the door, manage access for others, and receive real-time notifications.
• Physical Key: For emergency situations or when batteries are depleted, a traditional physical key can be used to unlock the door.

In case the batteries completely drain, the lock features a USB-C port for emergency power supply. Connect a portable charger to this port to temporarily power the lock and gain access. This port is for emergency power only, not for charging the batteries.
