2. Setup and Initial Use

2.1 Charging the Devices

Before first use, ensure both the hearing aids and the charging case are fully charged. The charging case provides power to the hearing aids and can store multiple charges.

  1. Place the First Ear Plus CIC hearing aids into their respective slots in the charging case. Ensure they are correctly seated (L for left, R for right).
  2. Connect the charging cable to the charging case and plug it into a compatible USB power source.
  3. The LED indicators on the case will show the charging status. A full charge for the case allows for approximately three full recharges of the hearing aids.

2.2 Selecting and Fitting Ear Domes

Proper fit is crucial for comfort and optimal sound quality. The First Ear Plus CIC comes with three different sizes of ear domes (ear-tips) to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

  1. Experiment with the provided ear dome sizes to find the one that feels most comfortable and creates a good seal in your ear canal. A good seal helps prevent feedback (whistling sounds).
  2. Gently attach the selected ear dome to the hearing aid.
  3. Carefully insert the hearing aid into your ear canal until it feels snug and secure. Avoid forcing it.

Your hearing aids come with two distinct program settings to adapt to different listening environments.
