Initial Formatting and Compatibility
The Avolusion PRO-H1 is pre-formatted with the exFAT file system for broad compatibility with Windows OS and MacOS. For use with XBOX game consoles, reformatting may be required to optimize performance and ensure full functionality. Refer to your game console's documentation for specific reformatting instructions.
3. Operating Instructions
Using with Windows and MacOS
Once connected and powered on, the Avolusion PRO-H1 external hard drive will be recognized by your Windows or MacOS computer as an external storage device. You can then drag and drop files, create backups, or store large media libraries directly onto the drive. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) interface ensures fast data transfer speeds. The device is also backward compatible with USB 3.0 ports.

Using with XBOX Game Consoles
The Avolusion PRO-H1 can be used to expand storage for compatible XBOX game consoles (e.g., Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X). As noted in the setup section, reformatting the drive may be necessary for optimal performance and to allow the console to recognize it for game storage. Consult your XBOX console's user manual for detailed instructions on external storage setup.
Silent Operation
The PRO-H1 Series features a fan-less design, ensuring quiet operation during use. This makes it suitable for environments where noise reduction is desired.
4. Maintenance
- Handling: Handle the external hard drive with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to physical shocks, as this can damage the internal components and lead to data loss.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure the device is placed in a location with adequate airflow to prevent overheating, even with its fan-less design.
- Disconnection: Always safely eject or unmount the hard drive from your operating system before physically disconnecting the USB cable or power adapter. This prevents data corruption.
- Data Backup: Regularly back up important data stored on the external hard drive to another location. No storage device is immune to failure.
5. Troubleshooting
Device Not Recognized
- Check Connections: Ensure the USB-C cable and power adapter are securely connected to both the hard drive and your computer/console.
- Power On: Verify that the hard drive is powered on and its indicator light is illuminated.
- Try Another Port/Cable: Connect the hard drive to a different USB port on your computer/console. If possible, try a different USB-C cable and power adapter.
- Restart Computer/Console: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve recognition issues.
- Disk Management (Windows) / Disk Utility (MacOS): Check if the drive appears in your operating system's disk management tools. It might need to be initialized or formatted if it's a new drive or if the file system is incompatible.
Slow Data Transfer Speeds
- USB Port Type: Ensure the hard drive is connected to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) or at least a USB 3.0 (5Gbps) port on your computer. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port will result in significantly slower speeds.
- Cable Quality: Use the provided high-quality USB-C cable. Damaged or low-quality cables can affect performance.
- System Resources: Close other applications that might be consuming significant system resources during data transfer.
- Drive Fragmentation: While less common with modern file systems, a heavily fragmented drive can sometimes impact performance.
