2. Safety Guidelines

4. Setup and Initial Use

4.1 Unboxing and Assembly

The Hover-1 Alpha comes largely pre-assembled. Carefully remove all packaging materials. The main assembly involves attaching the handlebars to the stem.

  1. Gently pull the handlebar stem upwards until it locks into place.
  2. Connect the handlebar unit to the stem, ensuring all cables are properly aligned and not pinched.
  3. Secure the handlebar using the provided screws and Allen wrench.

4.2 Initial Charging

Before your first ride, fully charge the scooter. The charging time is approximately 6.5 hours.

  1. Locate the charging port on the scooter.
  2. Connect the charger to the scooter and then to a power outlet.
  3. The charging indicator light will change to indicate charging status (refer to charger for specific light indications).
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Display

To power on the scooter, press and hold the power button on the handlebar display. The LED display will illuminate, showing speed, battery level, and current mode. To power off, press and hold the power button again.

5.2 Riding the Scooter

  • Place one foot firmly on the deck and push off with the other foot to gain initial momentum.
  • Once moving, gently press the thumb throttle to engage the motor.
  • To slow down or stop, release the throttle and use the disc brake lever on the handlebar.
  • Adjust speed modes by briefly pressing the power button while the scooter is on.

5.3 Sleep Mode Deactivation

If your unit is not powering on and the light indicator on the charger is solid green when you attempt to charge it, follow these steps to deactivate sleep mode:

  1. Plug the charger into the unit and the wall.
  2. Leave plugged in, pick up the motorized wheel and spin the wheel manually until the charger light indicator starts to flash red.
  3. Continue spinning the wheel until the charger light indicator is solid red, then stop spinning.
  4. Charge unit until specified amount of time per the manual.
  5. Turn on the unit.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Care

  • Do not leave batteries unused for extended periods. Lithium-ion batteries self-discharge when not in use.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep the battery at 60% to 80% capacity before storing the product or battery.
  • Charge the battery to approximately 70% at least once every six months.
  • If the product has a user-removable battery, remove it and store it separately.
  • Recommended storage temperature: 41°F to 77°F (5°C to 25°C).
  • Do not leave the battery on charge for extended periods after it's done charging.
  • Dropping batteries can damage circuitry and cause malfunction. Inspect carefully before use.

6.2 General Cleaning and Storage

  • Regularly wipe down the scooter with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure all bolts and connections are secure before each ride.
  • Store the scooter in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting
