4. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your recliner chair.
- Regular Cleaning: For textile material, vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and loose debris.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner following the product's instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Leather Material: For leather, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Use a specialized leather cleaner and conditioner as needed.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and material degradation.
- Check Connections: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
- Internal Access: The back panel can be opened (as shown in assembly videos) to access internal mechanisms for cleaning or inspection if needed.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your recliner, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Recline Mechanism Stuck: Ensure no objects are obstructing the reclining mechanism. Check that the backrest is fully engaged in its slots.
- Footrest Not Extending/Retracting: Verify that the pull ring is fully engaged when attempting to extend or retract the footrest. Check for any obstructions.
- Squeaking Noises: This may indicate loose connections. Check and tighten all visible bolts and screws. A small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied to moving metal parts if necessary.
- Unstable Swivel/Rocking: Ensure the chair is on a level surface. Check the base for any damage or loose components.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact COMHOMA customer support.
