Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wash the detachable inner pot and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the soup kettle on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to ensure proper ventilation.
  4. Fill Outer Pot: Pour water into the outer pot (the space between the heating element and the inner pot) up to the indicated maximum fill line. Do not overfill. This water creates the bain-marie for even heating.
  5. Insert Inner Pot: Place the clean, dry inner pot into the outer pot.
  6. Add Food: Fill the inner pot with the soup, stew, or other food you wish to warm. Do not overfill the inner pot.
  7. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard 110V-120V/60Hz electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: After setup, ensure the unit is plugged in.
  2. Set Temperature: Turn the temperature control knob to your desired temperature setting. The range is 95°F to 185°F (35°C-85°C). For most soups, a setting between 140°F and 160°F (60°C-71°C) is recommended to maintain serving temperature.
  3. Heating Indicator: The heat indicator light will illuminate when the heating element is active. It will cycle on and off as the appliance maintains the set temperature.
  4. Preheating: Allow sufficient time for the water in the outer pot to heat up and transfer heat to the inner pot. This may take 20-30 minutes depending on the initial temperature of the food and water.
  5. Serving: Use the integrated flip lid and ladle slot for convenient serving.
  6. Monitoring Water Level: Periodically check the water level in the outer pot, especially during extended use. If the water level drops significantly, unplug the unit, allow it to cool slightly, and carefully add more water up to the max fill line.
  7. Power Off: When finished, turn the temperature control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your soup kettle.

  1. Disconnect Power: Always unplug the soup kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Inner Pot and Lid: Carefully remove the inner pot and lid.
  3. Clean Inner Pot and Lid: Wash the stainless steel inner pot and lid with warm, soapy water. For stubborn food residue, soak them for a few minutes before scrubbing with a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are dishwasher safe.
  4. Clean Outer Pot (Water Bath Area): Drain any remaining water from the outer pot. Wipe the interior of the outer pot with a damp cloth. For mineral deposits or scale buildup, use a descaling solution suitable for kitchen appliances or a mixture of vinegar and water. Rinse thoroughly with a damp cloth and dry.
  5. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
  6. Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the soup kettle. Store in a cool, dry place.
