4. Setup

4.1 Inserting the SD Card

Before first use, insert the provided 64GB Micro SD card (or another Class 10 or higher, up to 256GB) into the dash cam's SD card slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place. It is recommended to format the SD card within the dash cam settings before initial use.

4.2 Mounting the Dash Cam

1. Attach the dash cam to your vehicle's existing rearview mirror using the provided straps. Ensure it is securely fastened and does not obstruct your view.
2. Adjust the front camera lens to capture the desired view of the road ahead. The telescopic front camera allows for flexible angle adjustment.

4.3 Connecting Power

1. Connect the provided car charger to the dash cam's Type-C power input port.
2. Plug the other end of the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
3. Route the power cable neatly along the windshield and dashboard using the provided wiring loops and mount tool to avoid obstructing your view or driving.

4.4 Installing the Rear Camera

1. Choose a suitable location for the rear camera, typically above the license plate or on the rear window. Ensure it has a clear view of the road behind.
2. Secure the rear camera using the 3M adhesive pad or screws (if applicable and desired).
3. Connect the rear camera cable to the rear camera and route the 33ft cable to the main dash cam unit. Connect the cable to the designated rear camera input port on the mirror dash cam.
4. If your vehicle has a reverse light, connect the red wire from the rear camera cable to the positive wire of your vehicle's reverse light for automatic reverse assistance display.

4.5 Connecting the GPS Module

Connect the GPS module to the designated GPS port on the dash cam. Mount the GPS module on your dashboard or windshield where it has a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• Automatic: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on (power is supplied).
• Manual: Press and hold the power button on the dash cam to manually turn it on or off.

5.2 Basic Recording

Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically start loop recording. The front and rear cameras will record simultaneously. The recording status is indicated by an icon on the screen.

5.3 Touch Screen Interface

The 12-inch screen is a full touch interface. Swipe left/right to switch between front, rear, or split-screen views. Tap icons on the screen to access settings, playback, lock files, or take photos.

5.5 Wi-Fi & App Usage

The dash cam has built-in 5G Wi-Fi for faster connectivity. Download the free "viidure" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). To connect:

1. Enable Wi-Fi on your dash cam via the settings menu.
2. On your smartphone, connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password usually displayed on the dash cam screen).
3. Open the "viidure" app to view live footage, play back recorded videos, adjust settings, and download files to your phone. You can then share these videos to social media platforms.

5.6 Parking Mode

For parking mode functionality, a hardwire kit (not included, ASIN: B0D47TVN42) is required to provide continuous power to the dash cam when the vehicle is off. Once installed, the dash cam can record time-lapse videos (e.g., 1 frame per second) or trigger event-based recordings (G-sensor) when parked, protecting your vehicle around the clock.

5.7 G-Sensor Functionality

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or rapid acceleration/deceleration. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These locked files are stored in a separate folder on the SD card.

5.8 Loop Recording

Loop recording ensures that your dash cam continuously records without running out of storage space. When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked video files are automatically overwritten by new recordings. Emergency locked files are protected from this process.

• Formatting: Regularly format the SD card (e.g., once a month) within the dash cam's settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This will erase all data on the card, so back up any important files first.
• Replacement: SD cards have a limited lifespan. If you experience frequent recording errors or file corruption, consider replacing the SD card with a new high-quality Class 10 or higher card.

• Lenses: Gently wipe the front and rear camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
• Screen: Clean the touch screen with a microfiber cloth. If necessary, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner.
