4. Setup Instructions
The Swokely 300M WLAN Repeater offers two primary setup methods: WPS and Manual Web Interface.
4.1. WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) Method
This is the easiest way to connect your repeater to your existing Wi-Fi network.
- Plug the repeater into a power outlet near your main router.
- Wait for the Power LED to light up.
- Press and hold the WPS button on the repeater for 3-5 seconds.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your main router.
- Wait for approximately 10-30 seconds for the devices to pair automatically. The Router Connection Status LED on the repeater should indicate a good signal.

4.2. Manual Web Interface Setup
If your router does not support WPS or you prefer manual configuration, follow these steps:
- Plug the repeater into a power outlet.
- Connect your computer or smartphone to the repeater's default Wi-Fi network (usually named something like "WiFi Repeater" or similar, without a password).
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address: 192.168.11.1.
- Log in using the default username and password: admin / admin.
- Follow the on-screen wizard to select your desired operating mode (Repeater or AP) and configure network settings.
- For Repeater Mode: Select your main Wi-Fi network from the list, enter its password, and choose a new SSID (network name) for the extended network or keep the default.
- For AP Mode: Connect an Ethernet cable from your main router to the repeater's LAN port. The repeater will then broadcast a new Wi-Fi network.
- Save the settings and wait for the repeater to restart.
- Reconnect your devices to the new extended Wi-Fi network.
5. Operating Modes
The Swokely 300M WLAN Repeater supports two main operating modes:
5.1. Repeater Mode
In Repeater Mode, the device receives the wireless signal from your existing router and re-transmits it, extending the coverage area. This is ideal for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones in larger homes or offices.

5.2. AP (Access Point) Mode
In AP Mode, the repeater converts a wired network connection into a wireless one. Connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the repeater's LAN port, and the repeater will create a new Wi-Fi hotspot. This is useful for adding wireless capability to a wired-only network or creating a separate Wi-Fi network.
6. Maintenance
- Placement: For optimal performance, place the repeater in a central location between your router and the area where you need extended coverage. Avoid placing it near large metal objects, concrete walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Resetting: If the device is not functioning correctly, you can perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the Reset button for 5-10 seconds until the LEDs flash. Note that this will erase all custom settings.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Swokely 300M WLAN Repeater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power:
Symptom: Power LED is off.
Solution: Ensure the repeater is securely plugged into a working power outlet. Try a different outlet. - No Internet Connection:
Symptom: Internet Connection Status LED indicates no internet.
Solution: Check the connection to your main router. Ensure your main router has internet access. Reconfigure the repeater if necessary. - Weak Signal from Router:
Symptom: Router Connection Status LED indicates a weak signal.
Solution: Move the repeater closer to your main router. Ensure there are no major obstructions between the repeater and the router. - Cannot Access Web Management Page:
Symptom: Unable to open 192.168.11.1 in a browser.
Solution: Ensure your device is connected to the repeater's Wi-Fi network (default SSID). Clear your browser's cache or try a different browser. Perform a factory reset if the issue persists. - Slow Speed or Frequent Disconnections:
Symptom: Connected to the repeater but experiencing slow speeds or drops.
Solution: Relocate the repeater to a better position, ideally halfway between the router and the client devices. Check for interference from other electronic devices. Ensure your main router's Wi-Fi is stable.
