5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge both the outdoor doorbell unit and the indoor chime unit using the provided Type-C charging cable. The indicator light will typically show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged.

5.2 Mounting the Outdoor Unit

Choose a suitable location near your door, ensuring it is within the 300m range of your indoor unit(s). The outdoor unit is IP44 waterproof, but avoid direct, prolonged exposure to heavy rain if possible.

• Adhesive Mounting: Clean the mounting surface thoroughly. Apply the adhesive to the back panel of the outdoor unit and firmly press it onto the desired location.
• Screw Mounting: Use the back panel as a template to mark drill holes. Drill pilot holes, then secure the back panel to the wall using the provided screws. Attach the outdoor unit to the secured back panel.

5.3 Placing the Indoor Unit

Place the indoor chime unit in a central location within your home or office where the chime can be easily heard. The unit can be placed on its charging base on a flat surface or mounted on a wall (mounting hardware not included for wall mounting of indoor unit).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Visitor Calling

1. A visitor presses the Call Button on the outdoor doorbell unit.
2. All paired indoor chime units will ring simultaneously.

6.2 Answering a Call

1. When an indoor unit rings, press the Answer Button on any indoor unit to establish a two-way intercom conversation.
2. Speak clearly into the microphone. Both parties can talk simultaneously.
3. To end the call, press the Hang Up Button on the indoor unit.

6.3 Adjusting Chime and Volume

On the indoor chime unit, press the Chime/Volume Button to cycle through the 4 available chime melodies. Press and hold the same button to adjust between the 4 volume levels.

6.4 Intercom Between Indoor Units

If you have multiple indoor units, they can communicate with each other. To initiate an intercom call between indoor units, press the Call Button on the indoor unit you wish to call. The other indoor unit will ring, and the recipient can answer by pressing their Answer Button.

Note: The intercom function supports 1-on-1 communication only and cannot support communication among three or more products at the same time.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Care: Recharge the units when the battery low indicator appears. Avoid fully depleting the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
• Environmental Protection: While the outdoor unit is IP44 waterproof, extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy snow, prolonged direct sunlight) may affect performance.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Sound/Poor Sound Quality:
  • Ensure both units are charged.
  • Check volume settings on the indoor unit.
  • Ensure units are within range and not obstructed by thick walls or metal structures.
• Units Not Pairing/Connecting:
  • Ensure both units are powered on and fully charged.
  • If adding new units, follow the pairing instructions (usually involves pressing and holding a button on both units simultaneously until an indicator light confirms pairing). Refer to specific pairing instructions if provided with additional units.
• Short Transmission Range:
  • Relocate the indoor unit to a more central position.
  • Minimize obstructions between the outdoor and indoor units.
• Outdoor Unit Not Responding:
  • Check battery level and recharge if necessary.
  • Ensure the unit is not in sleep mode (it returns to sleeping mode if no action is detected within 25 seconds to save power). Press the call button to wake it.
