5. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure the power supply is turned OFF at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove the fixture from its packaging. The glass panels are pre-assembled. Remove any protective plastic or cardboard pieces.
  2. Disassemble Fixture Base: Locate the two small nuts on the face of the fixture's base. Remove these nuts and the plastic O-rings. This will allow you to separate the main fixture body from the mounting plate.
  3. Mount the Base Plate: Securely screw the mounting plate (the part you just removed from the fixture) to your wall's electrical box. Ensure the two posts on the mounting plate are level for proper fixture alignment.
  4. Wire Connections: Connect the electrical wires. Match black to black (live), white to white (neutral), and green/bare copper to green (ground). Use the provided wire connectors and ensure all connections are secure.
  5. Secure the Fixture: Align the fixture body with the posts on the mounted base plate. Push the fixture onto the posts, then reattach the plastic O-rings and secure with the nuts you removed earlier. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
  6. Install Bulb: Screw in an incandescent or DIMMABLE E26 LED bulb (not included) into the socket.
  7. Restore Power: Turn the electricity back ON at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Slypadan porch light features an advanced PIR motion sensor and dusk-to-dawn functionality. It offers three distinct lighting modes:

  • PC Mode (Photocell): Light turns on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. Motion sensor is inactive.
  • Auto Mode: Light remains off during the day. At night, it turns on to full brightness when motion is detected and turns off after the set illumination time.
  • Auto+ Mode: Light remains off during the day. At night, it stays on at a dim brightness (0%-50% adjustable) and brightens to full intensity when motion is detected, returning to dim after the set illumination time.

Motion Sensor Settings:

The motion sensor allows for customization of its detection and illumination parameters:

  • Sensor Distance: Adjustable from 0-40ft.
  • Illumination Time: Adjustable from 20s-180s (duration the light stays on after motion detection).
  • Dim Light Brightness: Adjustable from 0%-50% (only applicable in Auto+ mode).
