5. Setup

5.1 Initial Opening

For the first use, the safe must be opened using one of the emergency backup keys.

  1. Locate the keyhole cover on the digital keypad.
  2. Remove the cover to expose the keyhole.
  3. Insert one of the emergency backup keys into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.
  4. While the key is turned, rotate the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.
  5. Once open, remove the key and store it in a safe place outside the safe.

5.2 Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) to power the digital keypad.

  1. Open the safe door.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
  3. Open the battery compartment cover.
  4. Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  5. Close the battery compartment cover.

5.3 Setting Your Personal Code

You can set a personal code (3-8 digits) for daily access.

  1. With the safe door open, locate the red setting button on the inside of the door, near the hinge.
  2. Press the red setting button. The keypad will beep, and the indicator light will flash.
  3. On the keypad, enter your desired 3 to 8 digit personal code.
  4. Press the 'A' or 'B' key to confirm your new code. The keypad will beep again, indicating successful programming.
  5. Test your new code with the door open before closing it.

5.4 Setting the Master Code (Optional)

The safe also allows for a master code, which can be useful for multiple users or as a backup.

  1. With the safe door open, press '00' on the keypad.
  2. Then, press the red setting button on the inside of the door. The keypad will beep, and the indicator light will flash.
  3. Enter your desired 3 to 8 digit master code.
  4. Press the 'A' or 'B' key to confirm your new master code. The keypad will beep again.
  5. Test your new master code with the door open before closing it.

5.5 Mounting the Safe

For enhanced security, it is recommended to anchor the safe to a wall or floor.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting.
  2. Open the safe door and remove the removable shelf if it obstructs access to the pre-drilled holes.
  3. Mark the positions for drilling through the pre-drilled holes on the back or bottom of the safe.
  4. Drill pilot holes in the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit (not included).
  5. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting screws.
  6. Ensure the safe is firmly attached and stable.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Opening the Safe with Your Code

  1. Enter your personal code (3-8 digits) on the digital keypad.
  2. Press the 'A' or 'B' key to confirm.
  3. Within 5 seconds, rotate the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

6.2 Opening the Safe with Emergency Key

This method is used if you forget your code or if the batteries are depleted.

  1. Remove the keyhole cover on the digital keypad.
  2. Insert an emergency backup key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.
  3. While the key is turned, rotate the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.

6.3 Anti-Theft Alarm System

The safe is equipped with an alarm system to deter unauthorized access.

6.4 Silent Mode

To operate the safe without keypad sounds:

6.5 Low Battery Warning

When the batteries are low, both the green and red indicator lights on the keypad will illuminate simultaneously. Replace the batteries immediately to ensure continued functionality.
