5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 General Care
- Your Lacoste watch is crafted with attention to quality. To maintain its condition, avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures, strong magnetic fields, or harsh chemicals.
- Clean the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For silicone straps, mild soap and water can be used. Ensure the watch is completely dry afterward.
- A maintenance interval of 3 to 5 years is recommended, in addition to any required battery replacement. It is advised to have this performed by an authorized service center.
- Never attempt to open the watch case yourself, as this can compromise its water resistance and void the warranty.
5.2 Water Resistance (10 ATM / 100 meters)
This watch is water resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM). This rating makes it suitable for swimming and snorkeling. It is not suitable for deep diving or high-impact water sports. The water resistance rating reflects pressure tolerance under static conditions and does not indicate a safe submersion depth for prolonged periods or dynamic water pressure.
Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Lacoste LC33 watch, consider the following common solutions:
- Watch not running or digital display blank: The battery may need replacement. Contact an authorized service center.
- Incorrect time: Follow the analog and digital time setting instructions in Section 3.
- Digital display difficult to read: Ensure the backlight is activated using the LIGHT button. Check battery level if the backlight is dim.
- Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to dry it yourself.
