5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off and Direction Control
The FLEXDRIVE Cordless Screwdriver utilizes a 360-degree collar for intuitive control:
- To activate forward rotation (driving screws), rotate the collar clockwise. The further you rotate, the faster the speed.
- To activate reverse rotation (removing screws), rotate the collar counter-clockwise. The further you rotate, the faster the speed.
- To turn off the screwdriver, return the collar to the center (locked) position.

5.2 Torque Adjustment
The screwdriver features a 6-stage torque adjustment ring located near the bit holder. This allows you to match the power output to the specific application, preventing overtightening or stripping screws.
- Rotate the torque adjustment ring to select the desired setting from 1 (lowest torque) to 6 (highest torque).
- For delicate tasks or smaller screws, start with a lower torque setting.
- For tougher applications or larger screws, increase the torque setting as needed.
- The screwdriver also allows for manual finishing up to 124 in-lbs. (14NM) by holding the tool firmly when the clutch engages.

7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Screwdriver Not Turning On
- Check Battery: Ensure the battery is charged. Refer to Section 4.1 for charging instructions.
- Collar Position: Make sure the FLEXDRIVE collar is rotated fully to the forward or reverse position. It will not operate if in the center (locked) position.
7.2 Insufficient Torque
- Adjust Torque Setting: Increase the torque setting on the adjustment ring. Refer to Section 5.2.
- Battery Level: A low battery can reduce power output. Recharge the screwdriver if necessary.
- Manual Finishing: For very tight screws, apply manual force after the powered drive stops.
7.3 Bit Slipping or Stripping Screws
- Correct Bit Size: Ensure you are using the correct size and type of bit for the screw head.
- Bit Seating: Make sure the bit is fully inserted and locked into the bit holder.
- Torque Setting: If stripping occurs, reduce the torque setting. If slipping occurs, ensure the bit is properly engaged with the screw head and consider increasing torque slightly.
