2. Setup
2.1 Connection Modes
The Akko YU01 keyboard supports three connection modes: Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth. Ensure the keyboard is charged before initial wireless use.

2.1.1 Wired Connection
- Locate the USB Type-C port on the keyboard.
- Connect one end of the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will automatically be recognized and ready for use.
2.1.2 2.4G Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4G USB receiver (dongle) that came with your keyboard.
- Plug the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Turn on the wireless function of the keyboard. The wireless on/off switch is located under the Caps Lock key.
- The keyboard should automatically connect to the receiver. If not, press Fn + 4 to initiate pairing.
2.1.3 Bluetooth Connection
The keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.0 and can connect to multiple devices.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device (computer, tablet, mobile device).
- On the keyboard, press and hold Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 to enter Bluetooth pairing mode for the desired profile. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
- On your device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Akko YU01" (or similar name) from the list.
- Once connected, the indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing.
- To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, press Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 briefly.
2.2 Charging the Keyboard
The Akko YU01 keyboard is equipped with a 3750mAh battery. To charge, connect the keyboard via the USB Type-C cable to a powered USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter. The left Control key may indicate charging status (e.g., red when charging).
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Key Functions and Combinations
The Akko YU01 keyboard features a 68-key layout. Many functions are accessed using the Fn key in combination with other keys.

3.3 Hot-Swappable Switches

- Using the provided keycap puller, gently remove the desired keycap.
- Using the provided switch puller, carefully grip the switch and pull it straight up to remove it.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight.
- Gently push the new switch down until it clicks into place. Do not force it.
- Replace the keycap.
3.4 VIA Software Customization
The Akko YU01 keyboard is compatible with the VIA web program, allowing for advanced key remapping, macro creation, and lighting customization without needing to download software.

- Ensure your keyboard is connected via wired mode for initial VIA setup.
- Visit the official VIA web configurator (search "VIA keyboard configurator").
