5. Installation

Before proceeding with installation, ensure the power supply is disconnected at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.

5.1. Required Installation Box Dimensions

5.2. Wiring with Neutral Wire

  3. Connect the Phase Wire (Live) to the 'L' terminal on the smart switch.
  4. Connect the Neutral Wire to the 'N' terminal on the smart switch.
  5. Connect the Load Wire (to the light fixture) to the 'L1' terminal on the smart switch.
  6. Secure the switch into the wall box and re-attach the faceplate.
  7. Restore power at the circuit breaker.

5.3. Wiring without Neutral Wire

  3. Connect the Phase Wire (Live) to the 'L' terminal on the smart switch.
  4. Connect the Load Wire (to the light fixture) to the 'L1' terminal on the smart switch.
  5. Connect the provided Capacitor in parallel with the light fixture's power input (L1). This is crucial for stable operation in no-neutral setups.
  6. Secure the switch into the wall box and re-attach the faceplate.
  7. Restore power at the circuit breaker.

To control your smart switch via your smartphone, download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and pair the device.
