1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Ecarke Portable Air Compressor. This cordless inflator is designed for convenient and efficient inflation of various items, including vehicle tires, bicycle tires, sports balls, and small inflatables. It is compatible with Makita 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries (battery not included). Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

2. Safety Information

5. Setup

  1. Insert Battery: Slide a charged Makita 18V LXT battery into the battery slot on the compressor until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Attach Hose: Screw the inflation hose securely onto the compressor's air outlet.
  3. Select Nozzle: Choose the appropriate nozzle for the item you wish to inflate and attach it to the end of the inflation hose.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Press the On/Off button to turn on the compressor. The LCD display will illuminate.
  2. Connect to Item: Connect the appropriate nozzle to the valve of the item to be inflated. The current pressure will be displayed on the LCD.
  3. Select Mode/Set Pressure:
    • Press the "M" button to cycle through the preset modes (Car, Motorcycle, Bicycle, Basketball) or to enter manual mode.
    • Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the target pressure.
    • Press the unit button to switch between PSI, BAR, KPA, and KG/CM².
  4. Start Inflation: Press the inflation button (often indicated by a play/start symbol) to begin inflation. The compressor will automatically stop when the target pressure is reached.
  5. Monitor Progress: The LCD display will show the real-time pressure during inflation.
  6. Stop Inflation (Manual): To stop inflation manually, press the inflation button again or the On/Off button.
  7. Disconnect: Once inflation is complete, disconnect the nozzle from the item and turn off the compressor.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the compressor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the compressor in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is removed before storage.
  • Hose and Nozzles: Inspect the inflation hose and nozzles regularly for any signs of wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
  • Battery Care: Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your Makita 18V LXT battery regarding charging and storage.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor does not turn on. Battery not inserted correctly or discharged. Ensure battery is fully charged and properly inserted.
Compressor turns off during inflation. Target pressure reached, or overheat protection activated. This is normal if target pressure is met. If due to overheat, allow unit to cool down for 15-20 minutes.
Slow inflation or no inflation. Hose or nozzle not securely attached, or leak in connection. Check all connections for tightness. Ensure the correct nozzle is used.
Inaccurate pressure reading. Sensor issue or extreme temperature. Ensure the compressor is used within recommended temperature ranges. If problem persists, contact support.
