2. Setup
2.1 Charging and Powering On
The DJI Goggles N3 can be charged via the USB-C port. To power on, press the power button once, then press and hold it for two seconds until the indicator light turns green.
2.2 Activation
To activate your goggles, connect them to your smartphone using a USB-C data cable. Ensure your smartphone has internet access. Launch the DJI Fly app, register or log in to your DJI account, and follow the on-screen prompts to activate the devices.
If you intend to purchase DJI Care Refresh, complete the purchase and binding within 48 hours of activating DJI Neo.
2.3 Firmware Update
When a new firmware update prompt appears in the DJI Fly app, tap it to enter the update screen. Tap "Download" to update DJI Neo to the latest firmware version. During the update, devices may automatically restart. Do not power off or exit the app. Ensure sufficient ventilation for DJI Neo to prevent overheating.
Alternatively, you can use DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series) to update DJI Neo, the goggles, and the motion controller separately. Visit the DJI official website and go to Support > Download Center to download DJI Assistant 2. Enable OTG Wired Connection in the goggles menu under Settings to avoid recognition issues.
2.4 Wearing the Goggles
Unfold the antennas. Adjust the headbands on both sides for a comfortable fit. The goggles are designed to accommodate glasses. Rotate the headband adjustment knob on the battery compartment to adjust the length of the headband. It is recommended to place the battery compartment on the upper back part of the head to prevent sliding down.

3. Operating the Goggles
3.1 Beginner Tutorial
The goggles provide an interactive beginner tutorial. Before your first flight, you will be directed to the Motion Controller Flight Tutorial. Follow the instructions in the goggles to learn and practice basic flight operations. You can press the Back button on the goggles to skip the tutorial. For safety, DJI Neo flies in Beginner Mode during the flight tutorial, limiting flight speed. After completing the tutorial, you can exit Beginner Mode via the goggles menu (Status > Beginner Mode > Disable).
3.2 Head Tracking
Open the shortcut menu from the flight live view and enable Head Tracking. When Head Tracking is enabled, the horizontal orientation of DJI Neo and the gimbal tilt can be controlled through head movements. You can still tilt the motion controller to control the flight direction.
3.3 Liveview Sharing
You can share the flight live view to others to enjoy your flying time together. Connect the USB-C port of the goggles to a mobile device using a suitable data cable. Launch the DJI Fly app and tap "Go Fly" in the lower right corner to enter the live view. You can also share the live view to another pair of goggles (DJI Goggles 3 and DJI Goggles N3 are supported).
For the pilot, open the goggles Transmission menu and enter the Pilot sub-menu. Turn on Broadcasting mode; the device number will be displayed. On the other goggles, enter the goggles menu, select Transmission, and enter the Audience sub-menu. If any nearby goggles turn on Broadcasting mode, their device and signal strength can be viewed. Select the device number to access the live view. Switch back to the Pilot sub-menu to exit the shared live view.

4. Linking Devices
Ensure all devices (DJI Neo, Goggles, and remote control device) are powered on, updated to the latest firmware, and have sufficient battery level before linking. Keep devices within 0.5 meters of each other during the linking process.
4.1 Linking to DJI Neo
Push the 5D button on the goggles to open the goggles menu, then select Status. From the top right corner, select "Switch" and choose "DJI Neo". Press and hold the power button on DJI Neo until it beeps once and the battery level LEDs start to blink in sequence. Simultaneously, press and hold the power button on the goggles until they start to beep continuously and the power button starts to blink yellow. Once linking is complete, the battery level LEDs of DJI Neo will turn solid, and the goggles will stop beeping, displaying normal image transmission.
4.2 Linking to the Remote Control Device
Press and hold the power button on the goggles until they start to beep continuously and the power button starts to blink yellow. Simultaneously, press and hold the power button on the remote control device (e.g., DJI RC Motion 3) until it starts to beep continuously and the battery level LEDs start to blink in sequence. Once linking is complete, both the goggles and the remote control device will stop beeping and display their battery levels.
If you are using DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 for the first time, turn off the DJI Motion Controller 3 and follow the previous steps for linking. If the remote control device is changed and the other device has been linked before, it is not necessary to link the device again. Make sure to only keep the remote control device in use powered on.
