4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your MLAY T17 device for use:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Inspect: Check the device and accessories for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Clean Skin: Ensure the area of skin you intend to treat is clean, dry, and free of any lotions, creams, or deodorants.
- Shave Hair: For best results, shave the hair in the treatment area prior to using the device. Do not wax or pluck, as the IPL targets the hair follicle.
- Connect Power: Plug the AC adapter into the device and then into a power outlet (100V-240V). The device will enter standby mode.

5. Operating Instructions
The MLAY T17 offers intelligent features for effective hair removal:
5.1 Power On and Energy Levels
- Power On: Long press the Power Button (⑂) to turn on the device.
- Adjust Energy Level: Short press the Power Button (⑂) to cycle through the 3 energy levels. The higher the level, the stronger the intensity (8-14J). For first-time users, it is recommended to start from the lowest level (Level 1) and gradually increase as your skin adapts.
5.2 Intelligent Skin Tone Recognition
The MLAY T17 features an upgraded automatic skin tone sensor. Before each flash, the device measures your skin tone and automatically selects the most suitable light intensity. If your skin tone is too dark for safe treatment, the device will not flash.

5.3 IPL Cooling Technology
The device features an optional ice cooling function for a painless and comfortable experience. After powering on, the ice chip cools down to 3℃ within 5 seconds. The cold compress surface can reach 0℃-15℃ within 1 minute of activating the function.
- Activate Cooling: Press the Ice Cooling Button (❃) to activate the cooling function. The ice cooling indicator will illuminate.
- Deactivate Cooling: Press the Ice Cooling Button (❃) again to turn off the cooling function.

5.4 Auto & Manual Modes
The MLAY T17 offers two flash modes for different body areas:
- Manual Mode: Suitable for small and precise areas like lips, armpits, and facial hair. To activate, short press the mode switching button. Press the flash button for each individual flash.
- Auto Mode: Ideal for large body areas such as arms, legs, and chest. To activate, long press the mode switching button. The device will automatically flash when the light exit window is in full contact with the skin.

5.5 Treatment Schedule and Results
Consistent use is key for optimal results. The device offers 999,999 flashes for long-term use.
- Initial Phase (Weeks 1-3): Use 2-3 times per week. Visible results may begin to appear.
- Reduction Phase (Weeks 4-5): Use 1-2 times per week. Hair growth should be significantly reduced.
- Maintenance Phase (Week 6-7 onwards): Use once every 2-4 weeks or as needed to maintain results.
Full body treatment can be completed in approximately 8 minutes. Individual results may vary.

6. Maintenance

- Cleaning: After each use, ensure the device is powered off and unplugged. Use the provided cotton swab or a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the light emission window and the device body. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- UV Sterilization Base: The device comes with a blue light disinfection base. After use, place the IPL device into the base. The blue light will sterilize and disinfect the lens, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene for shared use within a family.
