Wired Mode:
Use the provided USB-C charging cable to connect the mouse directly to any USB port on your computer. The mouse will function immediately.
Wireless Mode:
For wireless operation, connect the appropriate USB receiver (1K for G23, 8K for G23 Pro) to your computer. Ensure the mouse is powered on by sliding the bottom switch to the 'ON' position.
4.3 Pairing Steps (8K Receiver)
Follow these steps to pair your G23 Pro mouse with the 8K receiver:
- When the mouse is in the OFF state, press and hold buttons 1, 2, and 3 simultaneously.
- While performing Step 1, toggle the bottom switch (Button 7) to the 'ON' position.
- The indicator light on top of the mouse will flash blue and then turn yellow. Release the buttons after the light changes from blue to yellow.
- While the yellow light is flashing, plug the receiver into the computer's USB port via the data cable. The mouse will connect to the receiver, allowing you to start using it.
Note: If the mouse's indicator light flashes red and yellow, it means it is in 1K pairing mode. You need to switch back by turning off the mouse, holding button 4 while in the 'OFF' position, then switching Button 7 back to 'ON' while still holding button 4. If the light continues to flash yellow, repeat the above steps to pair with 8K mode.
Caution: The receiver should not be plugged into the computer's USB port during the pairing process. Connect the receiver only after completing steps 1, 2, and 3 when the mouse indicator is flashing yellow.

7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Responsiveness Issues
If you experience occasional drops in mouse responsiveness, such as the cursor becoming 'floaty' or overshooting inconsistently, consider the following:
- Interference: Ensure the mouse is within 20 cm of its wireless receiver and at least 2 meters away from 2.4 GHz interference sources (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones).
- Battery Level: Check the mouse's battery level. Low battery can affect wireless performance. The mouse supports fast charging.
- Surface: Use the mouse on a clean, uniform surface. Uneven or reflective surfaces can interfere with the optical sensor.
- DPI/Polling Rate: Experiment with different DPI and polling rate settings. Higher polling rates consume more battery and might be more susceptible to interference in certain environments.
- Firmware Update: Check the official Mechkeys website for any available firmware updates for your G23 Series mouse.
