4.2 Control Box Installation

Mount the circuit control box securely in the engine bay. Ensure it is placed in a location that allows for proper ventilation and is protected from excessive heat or moisture. The box is designed with a robust, waterproof casing.

4.3 Switch Panel Mounting

The switch panel can be mounted in various locations within the vehicle cabin. Use the provided mounting brackets and screws to secure it. Ensure the chosen location provides easy access and visibility without obstructing driving.

4.4 ACC Fuse Connection

To connect the ACC Fuse:

  1. Connect the red ACC Fuse wire to the fuse adapter.
  2. Open the ACC gear and check if the ACC fuse in the car is powered.
  3. Take out the original car ACC Fuse, insert the fuse adapter, and then reinsert the entire fuse adapter into the original car ACC Fuse position.

Alternatively, you can connect the red ACC wire directly to the battery for constant power, though this is not recommended as it may consume battery power when the vehicle is off.

4.5 Organizing Wires

The two-sided output design of the control box allows for more flexible wiring, reducing wire clutter in the engine bay and under the dash. Utilize the provided zip ties and mounting options to maintain a clean and organized installation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Lighting Modes

5.3 Memory Function

The panel retains your last settings even after the vehicle is turned off. When the vehicle is restarted, the memory function ensures quick access to your preferred device configurations.

5.4 App Control (RB120-TWO SIDED OUTPUT-WITHOUT APP variant does not support App Control)

This specific RB120 variant does not include App Control functionality. For models with App Control, users can typically manage settings, change RGB colors, and control devices directly from a smartphone application.

6. Maintenance

The Auxbeam RB120 switch panel is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. Its IP65 waterproof rating ensures protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for harsh environments. The solid-state relay design contributes to its longevity and stable performance.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the switch panel and control box. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for tightness and ensure the control box is free from debris or excessive moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Check all wiring connections, ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped, and verify the fuse for the specific channel is intact.
  • Switch panel not working when vehicle is off: If connected via ACC fuse, the system will only work when the vehicle is powered on. For constant power, connect the red ACC wire directly to the battery (not recommended for prolonged periods).
  • Backlight too bright/dim: The panel features auto-sensing dimming. If manual adjustment is desired, use the 'mode' button to turn off the backlight during the day.
  • Memory function not working: Ensure the 'MODE' button is pressed to save settings after changes. Long press the ON/OFF button for 12 seconds to restore factory settings if needed.
