4. How to Measure

Accurate measurements are crucial for proper fit and function. Please follow these guidelines carefully:

4.1. Inside Mount

• Window Frame Depth: Must be at least 2.4 inches deep.
• Shade Width: Should be 0 to 0.1 inches narrower than the window width. Take the minimum value as the order width.
• Shade Height: Should be less than or equal to 72 inches.
• Note: Motorized shades will have small light gaps on both sides with an inside mount. For full blackout, an outside mount is recommended.

4.2. Outside Mount

• Shade Width: Should be 3 to 6 inches wider than the window frame for better coverage.
• Shade Height: Should be less than or equal to 72 inches.

5. Installation

Follow these steps for installing your Yoolax Motorized Roller Shades.

5.1. Inside Mount Installation

1. Mark the drilling points: Measure 5 inches from each end of the window frame and mark the spots for the brackets. Ensure the marks are level.
2. Drill holes and install brackets: Drill pilot holes at the marked points. Insert wall anchors if necessary, then secure the brackets with screws.
3. Attach the blind: Slide the headrail of the blind into the installed brackets until it clicks securely into place.
4. Remove protective film: Carefully remove any protective film from the bottom rod.

5.2. Outside Mount Installation

1. Mark the drilling points: Measure 5 inches from each end of the desired mounting area above the window frame and mark the spots for the brackets. Ensure the marks are level.
2. Drill holes and install brackets: Drill pilot holes at the marked points. Insert wall anchors if necessary, then secure the brackets with screws.
3. Choose roll type: Decide between standard roll (fabric rolls off the back, closer to the window) or reverse roll (fabric rolls off the front, away from the window).
4. Attach the blind: Hook the headrail of the blind onto the installed brackets and push up until it locks securely.

6. Setup

6.1. Charging the Motor

The motor has a built-in rechargeable battery. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the motor using the provided USB charging cable. A full charge takes approximately 6 hours and provides 4-6 months of operation.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Using the Yoolax Home App

Once paired, open the Yoolax Home App on your smartphone or tablet. You can manually adjust the blinds to any desired position by sliding the control bar or selecting a preset favorite position. The app also displays the current battery level of the motor.

7.2. Using the Remote Control (Optional)

If you have purchased a Yoolax remote control (not included with this model), refer to its specific instructions for pairing and operation. Typical remote functions include:

• Open: Fully raises the blind.
• Close: Fully lowers the blind.
• Stop: Halts the blind at its current position.
• Slight Open/Close: Fine-tunes the blind's position.
