5. Setup and Installation

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Installation Area: Use a level to draw a straight line on the wall where the charger will be mounted. This line will help ensure the bracket is installed correctly.

  2. Mount the Bracket: Align the mounting bracket with the drawn line and mark the positions for drilling holes. Drill four holes, each approximately 1.2 inches deep. Insert the plastic expansion pipes into the drilled holes, tapping them gently with a hammer until flush with the wall. Secure the bracket to the wall using the provided screws, ensuring they are tightened for a firm installation.

  3. Place the Charger Unit: Carefully place the main charger unit onto the installed bracket. Tighten the screws located under the main unit to securely fasten it to the bracket.

  4. Electrical Connection: Connect the power cord from the EV charger to a leakage circuit breaker. Ensure the Live (L), Neutral (N), and Ground (PE) wires are connected correctly. It is recommended to install the charger on a circuit breaker rated at 40A or greater.

  5. Organize Cable and Charging Gun: Once installed, organize the charging cable neatly around the unit. Insert the charging gun into its designated holder on the charger.

For enhanced control and monitoring, download the AUTOOL app on your smartphone. The app connects via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

IC Card Unlocking (Optional):

If enabled, the IC card function provides an additional layer of security, preventing unauthorized use of the charger. Simply swipe the registered IC card over the designated area to unlock and initiate charging.

Charging Process:

  1. Ensure the EV charger is properly installed and powered on.
  2. Open your electric vehicle's charging port.
  3. Take the charging gun from its holder and firmly insert it into your vehicle's charging port. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. If using an IC card, swipe it to unlock. If using the app, initiate charging from the app. Otherwise, use the touchscreen to start.
  5. The charger display and/or app will indicate that charging has begun.
  6. Once charging is complete, or you wish to stop, use the app, IC card, or touchscreen to end the session.
  7. Carefully remove the charging gun from your vehicle and return it to its holder on the charger. Close your vehicle's charging port.
