Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: The Blink Outdoor 4 camera is designed for up to two years of battery life under default settings, using two AA 1.5V lithium metal batteries. Battery life may vary based on device settings, usage, and environmental factors. Replace batteries when the app indicates low power.
  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the camera lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal video quality and prevent debris from obstructing the view or motion sensor. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Blink Outdoor 4 camera, consider the following common solutions:

  • No Live View/Connectivity Issues: Ensure your Sync Module Core is powered on and connected to your Wi-Fi network. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength in the app. The camera needs a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection.
  • Motion Detection Not Working: Verify that motion detection is enabled in the app settings. Adjust sensitivity and activity zones. Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view.
  • Poor Video Quality: Clean the camera lens. Check your internet connection speed. Ensure the camera is within optimal range of the Sync Module Core.
  • Battery Draining Quickly: Review your camera settings. Frequent live views, high motion detection sensitivity, and extreme temperatures can reduce battery life.
