Person Detection (Subscription Required)
With an optional Blink Subscription Plan (sold separately), the camera can differentiate between people and other moving objects, providing more relevant alerts when a person is detected.
Infrared Night Vision
The cameras are equipped with infrared night vision for clear video recording in low-light conditions.
Alexa Integration
Connect your Blink system with Alexa-enabled devices for voice control. You can use commands to view live feeds from your cameras, arm or disarm your system, and more.

Video Storage
The Sync Module Core does not include local storage. Video clips can be stored in the cloud with a Blink Subscription Plan (free 30-day trial included). For local storage options, consider a Sync Module XR or Sync Module 2 with a USB flash drive (sold separately).
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The Blink Outdoor 4 cameras are designed for up to two years of battery life under default settings, using two AA 1.5V lithium metal batteries. Battery life may vary based on usage and environmental factors. Replace batteries when the app indicates low power. Always use non-rechargeable AA 1.5V lithium metal batteries for optimal performance.
Cleaning
Periodically clean the camera lens and housing with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear video quality and proper operation. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
- Camera Offline:
- Check the camera's battery level in the Blink app.
- Ensure the Sync Module Core is powered on and connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Verify Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's location. Relocate the camera or Sync Module if necessary.
- Restart your home router, Sync Module Core, and then the camera (by removing and reinserting batteries).

- Clean the camera lens.
- Ensure adequate lighting for night vision (infrared).
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength; a weak signal can affect video streaming quality.
- Motion Detection Issues:
- Adjust activity zones and sensitivity settings in the Blink app.
- Ensure no obstructions are blocking the camera's view.
- For person detection, ensure you have an active Blink Subscription Plan.
- Two-Way Audio Problems:
