Operating Instructions
The NutriBullet SmartSense Blender Combo features an intuitive interface with a dot-matrix display and multiple blending options.
Powering On/Off:
Press the power button (⏻) on the motor base to turn the unit on or off. The display will illuminate when powered on.
Smart Auto Cycle:
The Smart Auto Cycle senses the ingredient load and automatically adjusts speed, time, and function to deliver optimal results. To activate, press the AUTO button on the motor base.

This diagram shows a cutaway view of the blender base with the "AUTO" button highlighted, indicating the smart load-sensing technology that adapts blending parameters.
Variable Speed Settings (1-5):
The blender offers 5 variable speed settings for precise control. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the speed from 1 (low) to 5 (high).

This image shows a person's hand pressing the '+' button on the blender's control panel, with the digital display showing '2', indicating the current speed setting. A single-serve cup with green ingredients is on the base.
Pulse Function:
For short bursts of power, press and hold the O (Pulse) button. Release to stop. This is ideal for chopping or controlling texture.
Recommended Uses:
- Smoothies & Shakes: Use the Auto Cycle or speeds 3-5 for smooth, consistent results.
- Nut Butters: Use speeds 3-4 for nut and seed butters. The tamper can be used with the pitcher to push ingredients towards the blade.
- Nut Milks: Use speed 5 for no-strain nut milk.
- Flours: Use speeds 1-2 for alternative flours.
- Soups & Sauces: Blend to desired consistency using appropriate speed settings.
- Ice & Frozen Fruit: The 1400W motor is powerful enough to handle ice and frozen fruit. Use higher speeds or the Pulse function for best results.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your NutriBullet SmartSense Blender Combo, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Blender does not turn on. | Not plugged in; container not properly assembled/locked. | Ensure the unit is plugged into a working outlet. Verify the pitcher or cup is correctly twisted and locked onto the motor base. |
| Ingredients are not blending smoothly. | Too little liquid; too many ingredients; ingredients are too large. | Add more liquid. Reduce the amount of ingredients. Cut larger ingredients into smaller pieces. Use the tamper with the pitcher if needed. |
| Unit stops during blending. | Overheating; single-serve cup blending limit reached. | Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down for 15-20 minutes. For single-serve cups, the blender automatically shuts off after 60 seconds or 3 consecutive cycles in 6 minutes. Allow a brief pause before resuming. |
