  6. Select your desired coffee function (Espresso, 2x Espresso, Americano, Espresso Cool) from the smart display.

5.3. Using the Professional Frother (Steam Function)

The integrated frother allows you to create lattes, cappuccinos, and other milk-based beverages.

  1. Fill a pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy). Do not fill more than one-third of the pitcher.
  2. Ensure the water tank is filled.
  3. Turn on the machine. Select the 'Steam' function on the smart display. The machine will heat up to generate steam.
  4. Once the steam icon is stable, position the frother wand into the milk, just below the surface.
  5. Slowly turn the steam knob counter-clockwise to release steam.
  6. Move the pitcher up and down gently to create foam. For more foam, keep the wand closer to the surface; for hotter milk, submerge it deeper.
  7. Once desired texture and temperature are reached, turn the steam knob clockwise to close the steam.
  8. Remove the pitcher and immediately wipe the frother wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

6.1. Daily Cleaning

  • Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray after each use or when the indicator shows it is full. Wash with warm soapy water and rinse.
  • Portafilters and Filters: Remove and rinse the portafilters and filters immediately after use to remove coffee grounds or capsule residue.
  • Frother Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the frother wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk from drying and clogging. Purge steam briefly to clear any internal milk residue.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.

6.2. Water Tank Cleaning

The 1.5L removable water tank should be cleaned regularly, especially if you notice any residue or mineral buildup.

  • Remove the water tank from the machine.
  • Wash with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
  • Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
  • Refill with fresh water before placing it back on the machine.

6.3. Descaling

Depending on water hardness, descaling should be performed every 2-3 months to prevent mineral buildup, which can affect performance and taste.

  • Use a commercial descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines, following the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Alternatively, you can use a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
  • Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
  • Run several brewing cycles without coffee until the tank is empty.
  • Run several cycles with fresh water to rinse out any descaling solution residue.
