5. Setup

5.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your Lumina 500. Connect the AC charging cable to the AC input port on the rear of the unit and then to a wall outlet. The display will indicate charging status. A full charge from 0% takes approximately 1.2 hours.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

• To power on the unit, press and hold the main power button for a few seconds until the display illuminates.
• To power off the unit, press and hold the main power button again until the display turns off.

6.2. Charging External Devices

The Lumina 500 offers multiple output options for various devices:

• AC Outlets: Press the AC power button to activate the AC outlets. Plug in your devices (e.g., laptops, small appliances) into the AC ports. Ensure the total wattage does not exceed 600W (1200W peak with R-Drive function).
• USB-C Ports: Connect your USB-C compatible devices directly to the 100W USB-C Power Delivery ports.
• USB-A Ports: Connect your USB-A compatible devices to the 22.5W USB-A ports.
• Car Outlet: Connect 12V DC devices to the car outlet.

6.3. Recharging the Lumina 500

You can recharge your power station using three methods:

• AC Wall Charging: Connect the AC charging cable to the AC input port and a wall outlet. Full charge in approximately 1.2 hours.
• Solar Panel Charging: Connect a compatible solar panel (sold separately) to the solar input port. Charging time is approximately 3 hours with an optimal solar panel.
• Car Charging: Use the provided car charging cable to connect the unit to your vehicle's 12V car outlet. Full charge in approximately 5 hours. This function can also charge your car battery for emergencies (charge cable sold separately for this specific use).

6.4. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Function

When the Lumina 500 is connected to a wall outlet and has devices plugged into its AC outputs, it can function as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). In the event of a power outage, the unit will automatically switch to battery power within milliseconds, protecting connected devices from interruptions.

6.5. R-Drive Function

The R-Drive function is an intelligent voltage control feature that allows the Lumina 500 to power high-wattage appliances (up to 1200W peak) that exceed its rated 600W continuous output. It achieves this by automatically reducing the voltage to allow the power station to drive these higher-rated appliances at a lower, stable power output.
