3. Product Overview

The Digitek DWM-116 system consists of two compact transmitters (TX) and one receiver (RX), housed within a portable charging case. Each component is designed for ease of use and portability.

3.1. Transmitter (TX)

The transmitters are equipped with a built-in microphone and a magnetic collar clip for hands-free operation. They capture 360-degree audio and feature indicator lights for status updates.

3.2. Receiver (RX)

The receiver connects to your recording device (smartphone, DSLR, etc.) and receives audio signals from the transmitters. It also features indicator lights to show connection status.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Charging the System

Before first use, fully charge the charging case, transmitters, and receiver.

  1. Place both transmitters and the receiver into the charging case.
  2. Connect the USB to Type C charging cable to the charging case and a 5V/1A charging adapter.
  3. The charging case display will show the battery percentage. The transmitters and receiver will indicate charging status via their respective lights.
  4. A full charge for the charging case takes approximately 3.5 hours. The charging case has a 600mAh capacity.

4.2. Connecting to Your Device

The DWM-116 offers broad compatibility with various devices.

  1. For USB-C Devices (Android/DSLR): Plug the receiver directly into your device's USB-C port.
  2. For Lightning Devices (iOS): Use the provided Type-C to Lightning connector. Attach the connector to the receiver, then plug the assembly into your iOS device's Lightning port.
  3. Ensure the connection is secure. The receiver's indicator light will confirm a successful connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off and Pairing

  1. Power On: Take the transmitters and receiver out of the charging case. They will automatically power on.
  2. Automatic Pairing: The transmitters and receiver are designed to pair automatically upon powering on. A solid indicator light on both units typically signifies a successful connection.
  3. Power Off: Place the transmitters and receiver back into the charging case, or long-press the power button on each unit (if available) to manually power them off.

5.2. Recording Audio

  1. Once the receiver is connected to your device and the transmitters are paired, open your device's camera or audio recording application.
  2. Ensure the external microphone is selected as the audio input source in your device's settings, if applicable.
  3. Begin recording. The DWM-116 will capture audio wirelessly.

5.3. Noise Cancellation

The DWM-116 features professional-grade noise cancellation technology to filter out unwanted background noise.

  • Refer to the transmitter's multifunction button for noise cancellation activation/deactivation. A short press may toggle this feature.
  • Optimal performance is achieved in environments where background noise is present but not overwhelming.

5.4. Using the Magnetic Collar Clip

The innovative magnetic clip allows for easy and secure attachment of the transmitter to clothing.

  1. Separate the magnetic plate from the transmitter.
  2. Place the magnetic plate inside your clothing, behind the fabric where you want to attach the microphone.
  3. Align the transmitter on the outside of your clothing with the magnetic plate. The magnets will secure the transmitter in place.

    • Try restarting both the microphone system (by placing back in case and taking out) and your recording device.
