  • Repeater Mode: Extends the coverage of an existing wireless network. This is the most common mode for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones.
  • Access Point (AP) Mode: Converts a wired network connection into a wireless one. Ideal for areas with only wired internet access.
  • Router Mode: Functions as a primary router, creating a new private network.

You can switch between these modes during the web browser setup process or via the extender's web management interface.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Internet Access After Setup: Ensure the extender is within range of your main router. Check if the Signal LED is solid. Verify the Wi-Fi password entered during setup is correct. Try restarting both your router and the extender.
  • Frequent Disconnections or Slow Speed: Relocate the extender closer to your main router. Ensure there are no major obstructions or interference sources. Update your router's firmware. If using Repeater mode, ensure your main router's signal is strong enough.
  • Cannot Access Web Management Page: Ensure your device is connected to the extender's Wi-Fi network. Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser. Verify the correct IP address or domain name is being used.
  • Forgot Extender's Password: Perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button (usually a small pinhole) for 5-10 seconds until the LEDs flash. This will revert the extender to its default settings.
