5.2 Memory (RAM) Installation
The motherboard supports DDR5 memory. Refer to the motherboard manual for recommended DIMM slot population for optimal performance.
- Open the clips at both ends of the DIMM slot.
- Align the notch on the DDR5 memory module with the key in the DIMM slot.
- Insert the memory module firmly into the slot until the clips snap into place.
- Ensure both clips are fully closed and the module is seated evenly.
5.3 Storage (M.2 SSDs, SATA Drives) Installation
The motherboard features 3 M.2 slots and 4 SATA 6Gb/s ports.
M.2 SSD Installation
- Locate the M.2 slots on the motherboard.
- Remove the M.2 Thermal Guard heatsink if present.
- Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at a 30-degree angle.
- Gently push down the SSD and secure it with the provided screw or EZ-Latch mechanism.
- Reinstall the M.2 Thermal Guard heatsink.
SATA Drive Installation
- Connect one end of the SATA data cable to a SATA port on the motherboard.
- Connect the other end of the SATA data cable to your SATA hard drive or SSD.
- Connect a SATA power cable from your power supply to the drive.
5.4 Expansion Card (PCIe) Installation
The motherboard supports PCIe 5.0. Insert your graphics card or other expansion cards into the appropriate PCIe slots.
- Align the expansion card with the chosen PCIe slot.
- Press down firmly until the card is fully seated and the retention clip locks into place.
- Secure the card to the chassis with a screw.
5.5 Power Supply Connection
Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector and the 8-pin (or 4+4-pin) CPU power connector from your power supply to the corresponding ports on the motherboard.
5.6 Front Panel Connections
Connect the front panel headers (power button, reset button, USB ports, audio jacks, etc.) from your computer case to the corresponding pins on the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard diagram (Image 4.2) for pin locations.
6. Operating
6.1 First Boot and BIOS Setup
Upon the first boot, the system will enter the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). You can access the BIOS by pressing the DEL key during startup. In the BIOS, you can configure system settings, boot order, and enable features like AMD EXPO for memory optimization.

6.2 Driver Installation
After installing your operating system, install the necessary drivers for the motherboard chipset, audio, LAN, and Wi-Fi. These can typically be found on the included driver CD/USB or downloaded from the GIGABYTE official website.
6.3 Operating System Installation
Insert your operating system installation media (USB drive or DVD) and follow the on-screen prompts to install your preferred operating system (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11).
6.4 BIOS Features
Q-Flash Plus
Q-Flash Plus allows you to update the BIOS without installing a CPU, memory, or graphics card. This is useful for ensuring compatibility with newer CPUs.
EZ Debug Zone
The EZ Debug Zone features centralized debug LEDs that provide visual indicators for troubleshooting during the boot process, helping to identify issues with CPU, DRAM, VGA, or Boot devices.

7. Maintenance
- Keep it Clean: Regularly clean dust from inside your computer case using compressed air. Dust accumulation can hinder cooling and lead to component failure.
- BIOS Updates: Periodically check the GIGABYTE website for BIOS updates. Updates can improve stability, performance, and add support for new hardware.
- Driver Updates: Keep your drivers updated to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with new software and hardware.
- Physical Inspection: Occasionally inspect the motherboard for any visible damage, loose connections, or bulging capacitors.
8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
8.1 No Display / System Not Booting
- Check Power: Ensure all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, GPU PCIe power) are securely connected.
- EZ Debug LEDs: Observe the EZ Debug LEDs on the motherboard. A lit LED indicates a problem with the corresponding component (CPU, DRAM, VGA, BOOT).
- Reseat Components: Try reseating the CPU, RAM modules, and graphics card.
- Clear CMOS: Refer to your motherboard's detailed manual for instructions on how to clear the CMOS, which resets BIOS settings to default.
8.2 DRAM/CPU LED Stays On
If the DRAM or CPU LED remains lit, it indicates an issue with the memory or processor.
- Memory Compatibility: Ensure your RAM modules are compatible with the motherboard and CPU. Refer to the GIGABYTE QVL (Qualified Vendor List) on their website.
- Reseat RAM: Try reseating the RAM modules in different slots or using only one module at a time to isolate a faulty stick or slot.
- BIOS Update: An outdated BIOS might not support newer CPUs or RAM. Use Q-Flash Plus to update the BIOS if necessary.
- CPU Seating: Recheck CPU installation to ensure it is correctly seated and the socket lever is locked.
8.3 Wi-Fi / Bluetooth Not Working
- Antenna Connection: Ensure the Wi-Fi antenna is securely connected to the rear I/O panel.
- Driver Installation: Install the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers from the GIGABYTE website.
- BIOS Settings: Check BIOS settings to ensure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled.
8.4 M.2 SSD Performance
When using multiple M.2 SSDs, the speed of some slots may be reduced due to shared PCIe lanes. Consult the detailed motherboard manual for specific lane allocation and potential bandwidth limitations when all M.2 slots are populated.
