3. Usage Instructions

3.1. Preparation

  1. Ensure you are working in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Have a small container ready for soaking the brush.
  3. Prepare a separate container with appropriate paint thinner and tap water for rinsing.

3.2. Application

  1. Pour a small amount of Restore Brush Plus into the container, enough to submerge the brush bristles.
  2. Soak the brush in the maintenance solution. The soaking time will vary depending on the amount and age of paint residue.
  3. As the brush softens, gently tap the brush tip against the bottom of the container to help release lumps of paint residue.
  4. Important: Do not force the bristles of hard brushes, as this may cause damage or breakage. Allow the solution to work over time.
  5. For heavily soiled brushes, extend the soaking time to allow the solution to fully react with the stubborn paint residue.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning

4.1. Post-Soaking Cleaning

  1. Once the brush is clean and soft, remove it from the Restore Brush Plus solution.
  2. Wash the brush thoroughly with the appropriate paint thinner to remove any remaining solution and loosened paint particles.
  3. Rinse the brush with tap water until all thinner and residue are gone.
  4. Gently reshape the bristles and allow the brush to air dry completely before storage or next use.

4.2. General Brush Care

  • Always clean your brushes immediately after each painting session to prevent paint from drying and hardening.
  • Store brushes properly, ideally hanging or lying flat, to maintain bristle shape.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1. Brush Remains Hard After Soaking

  • Issue: Brush bristles are still stiff or hard after initial soaking.
  • Solution: This indicates deeply embedded or very old paint residue. Extend the soaking time significantly. For extremely stubborn cases, multiple soaking sessions may be required. Ensure the bristles are fully submerged.

5.2. Residue Not Fully Removed

  • Issue: Visible paint residue remains after cleaning and rinsing.
  • Solution: Repeat the soaking process. Ensure gentle tapping to dislodge particles. Follow up with thorough washing using paint thinner and water.
