3. Setup Guide

3.1 Initial Setup

  1. Power On: Connect the camera to a power source using the provided USB cable and power adapter. The camera will power on automatically.
  2. App Installation: Download the "AI Home Camera" app from your smartphone's app store (available for iPhone and Android).
  3. Account Registration/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
  4. Reset Camera: If this is the first time setting up or if you encounter issues, reset the camera. Gently push the camera lens upwards to reveal the reset button. Press and hold the reset button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a prompt sound.

3.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi

The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during setup. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported for direct camera connection.

  1. Add Device in App: In the "AI Home Camera" app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
  2. Select Device Type: Choose the appropriate camera type (e.g., Smart Camera).
  3. Wi-Fi Configuration: Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password.
  4. Scan QR Code: The app will generate a QR code. Position your smartphone screen in front of the camera lens (15-25 cm away) so the camera can scan the QR code. You will hear a confirmation sound when the scan is successful.
  5. Connection Complete: Once connected, the camera's indicator light will turn blue, and you can access the live feed.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View and Pan/Tilt Control

From the app's home screen, tap on your camera to access the live view. You can control the camera's pan (horizontal) and tilt (vertical) movements by swiping on the screen or using the directional controls within the app.

4.2 Two-Way Audio

Tap the microphone icon in the live view interface to enable two-way audio. You can speak through your smartphone, and your voice will be transmitted through the camera's speaker. Similarly, you can hear audio from the camera's environment.

4.3 Motion Detection and Alerts

Enable motion detection in the camera settings within the app. When motion is detected, the camera will automatically record and send an alert notification to your smartphone.

4.4 Automatic Tracking

Activate the automatic tracking feature in the app settings. The camera will then automatically follow any moving objects within its field of view, ensuring continuous monitoring.

4.5 Night Vision

The camera is equipped with infrared LEDs for clear night vision. It automatically switches to night mode in low-light conditions, providing clear black-and-white footage without emitting visible light.

4.6 Recording and Storage

The camera supports local storage via a microSD card (not included) and cloud storage (subscription may be required). You can review recorded footage directly from the app.

    • Verify that your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz networks.
    • Ensure the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
    • Reset the camera and try the setup process again.
  • Poor Video Quality:
    • Check your internet connection speed.
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean.
    • Adjust the video resolution settings in the app.
  • Motion Detection Not Working:
