1. Introduction

It also features a jump-start function for immediate vehicle assistance.

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always wear eye protection and protective clothing when working with batteries.
  • Ensure the work area is well-ventilated. Batteries can produce explosive gases.
  • Do not smoke or allow sparks or flames in the vicinity of the battery or charger.
  • Connect and disconnect battery clamps only when the charger is unplugged from the power outlet.
  • Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive terminal of the battery and the black (-) clamp to the negative terminal or a grounded part of the vehicle chassis away from the battery.
  • Never charge a frozen battery.
  • Keep the charger away from moisture and rain.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

4. Setup and Initial Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the charger from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
  2. Positioning: Place the charger on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. The integrated wheels allow for easy movement.

  3. Power Connection: Ensure the charger's rotary switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging it into a 230V AC power outlet.
  4. Battery Preparation:
    • Clean battery terminals to ensure good contact.
    • Check battery fluid levels if applicable (non-sealed batteries).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Charging a Battery

  1. Select Voltage: Determine if your battery is 12V or 24V. Connect the positive (+) battery clamp (red) to the corresponding +12V or +24V output terminal on the charger. Connect the negative (-) battery clamp (black) to the common negative output terminal.
  2. Connect to Battery:
    • Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
    • Connect the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. If the battery is in a vehicle, connect the black (-) clamp to a metal part of the vehicle chassis away from the battery and fuel line.

  3. Select Charging Mode: Turn the rotary switch to the desired charging level (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Lower numbers typically indicate slower charging, higher numbers faster charging.
  4. Set Timer (Optional for Rapid Charge): If rapid charging is desired, set the timer knob to the desired duration (0-60 minutes). For normal charging, leave the timer at '0' or 'continuous'.
  5. Start Charging: Plug the charger into the 230V power outlet. The POWER indicator will light up. The display will show the charging current.
  6. Monitor: Observe the display. The charging current will gradually decrease as the battery charges.
  7. End Charging: Once charging is complete or the desired time has elapsed, unplug the charger from the power outlet first, then disconnect the battery clamps (negative first, then positive).

5.2. Jump Start Function

IMPORTANT: Ensure the battery is connected correctly and the vehicle's ignition is off before attempting a jump start.

  1. Connect to Battery: Follow step 5.1.2 to connect the charger to the vehicle battery.
  2. Select Jump Start Mode: Turn the rotary switch to the "START" position.
  3. Attempt Start: Try to start the vehicle for no more than 5 seconds. If the vehicle does not start, wait at least 60 seconds before trying again. Do not exceed three attempts.
  4. Disconnect: Once the vehicle starts, immediately turn the rotary switch to "OFF", unplug the charger from the power outlet, then disconnect the battery clamps (negative first, then positive).

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from the power supply before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the charger in a dry, cool place when not in use. Keep cables neatly coiled.
  • Fuse Replacement: If the charger stops working, check the fuse. Disconnect from power, open the fuse compartment, and replace with a fuse of the same type and rating.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord and battery cables for any signs of damage. Do not use the charger if cables are damaged.

7. Troubleshooting
