5.2 Magnetic Base Functionality
The magnetic base allows the flashlight to be securely attached to ferrous metal surfaces, providing hands-free illumination. This is useful for automotive repairs, workshop tasks, or other situations requiring directed light without holding the device.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the anodized finish.
6.2 O-Ring Maintenance
To maintain the IPX8 waterproof rating, periodically inspect and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease. Replace O-rings if they appear damaged or worn. Spare O-rings are included in the package.
6.3 Battery Care
The integrated lithium-ion battery should be charged regularly, even if the flashlight is not in frequent use, to prolong its lifespan. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
7. Troubleshooting
- Flashlight does not turn on:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the flashlight to the charging cable and check the indicator light.
- Verify the side switch is being pressed and held for the correct duration (approx. 0.5 seconds).
- Light output is dim or flickers:
- The battery may be low. Recharge the flashlight.
- Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions.
- Flashlight gets hot during use:
- High brightness modes (especially Turbo) generate significant heat. This is normal. The flashlight may automatically step down brightness to prevent overheating.
- Magnetic charging not working:
- Ensure the magnetic cable is properly seated and making good contact with the charging port.
- Try a different USB power source.
- Clean the charging contacts on both the flashlight and the cable.
