  4. Display Warning: Place the "NO ENTRY" door hanger on the entrance to the treatment area to warn others.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation:

  1. Clean the Room: Before ozone treatment, clean the room to remove the source of odors. This enhances the effectiveness of the ozone generator.
  2. Set the Timer: Turn the timer knob to the desired treatment duration (up to 120 minutes). For continuous operation, select the 'HOLD' setting. Refer to the "Recommended Operating Time" table below for guidance.
  3. Start Operation: The unit will begin generating ozone once the timer is set. The "RUNMODE" indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Evacuate the Area: Immediately leave the room or vehicle once the unit starts operating. Ensure no one enters the area during treatment.
  5. Ventilation After Treatment: Once the timer completes and the unit switches off, wait at least 30 minutes before re-entering the treated space. Open all windows and doors to ventilate the area thoroughly.
  6. Repeat Treatment: Repeat the treatment regularly or if lingering odors persist.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your ozone generator.

  • Cleaning the Fan: The unit features a removable fan for easy cleaning. Periodically clean the fan and the ozone plates to prevent dust buildup, which can reduce efficiency.
  • Ozone Plate Replacement: The ceramic ozone plates have a long service life of approximately 6,000 hours. If you notice a significant decrease in ozone output or effectiveness, the plates may need replacement. Contact customer service for replacement parts.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LANDNOR Ozone Generator, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Unit Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into both the unit and a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
    • Verify the timer knob is set to a duration or 'HOLD' mode, not 'OFF'.
  • Low Ozone Output / Ineffective Odor Removal:
    • Ensure the treatment area is properly sealed (windows and doors closed).
    • Clean the fan and ozone plates as described in the Maintenance section.
    • Increase the treatment duration or use the 'HOLD' mode for larger or more severely affected areas.
    • Consider if the ozone plates need replacement (after approximately 6,000 hours of use).
  • Unusual Noises:
    • Check for any obstructions around the fan or inside the unit.
    • Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, flat surface to prevent vibrations.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact LANDNOR customer service for further assistance.
