Setup

Bluetooth Pairing

Ensure Bluetooth is turned on on your device.

Pairing with Android (Google Fast Pair)

For first-time or new device connection, open the charging case with the earbuds inside, and place it near your Android device for on-screen setup.

Connecting to Other Devices

With the earbuds in the case and the case open, press the setup button until a light blinks. Then choose the earbuds in your device's Bluetooth settings.

Operating

Wearing the Earbuds

The Nothing Ear (Open) earbuds are designed for a comfortable and secure fit around your ear. Follow these steps for optimal placement:

1. Hook the earbud around your ear.
2. Rotate the earbud backwards until the speaker is sitting comfortably near your ear canal.
3. Adjust for a secure and comfortable fit.

Pinch Controls (Force Sensor)

• Single Pinch: Play/pause music, answer/hang up calls.
• Double Pinch: Skip music forward, reject incoming calls.
• Triple Pinch: Skip music back.
• Pinch and Hold: Volume down (left earbud), Volume up (right earbud).

More options and customization for controls are available in the Nothing X app, including skip back, skip forward, volume up/down, and wake-up Voice Assistant.

Charging

Earbuds

Place the earbuds in the charging case and close the case to charge.

Earbud Case

Close the case and connect it to a power supply using the supplied Type-C cable. The case is charging when the indicator lamp flashes white. Once the light remains white, the case is fully charged.

Power Level Indication

• White light: Battery is more than 30% charged.
• Red light: Battery is less than 30% charged.
• With the buds in the case, the indicator lamp will flash in the color relating to the battery level of the buds, not the case.
• With both buds removed from the case, the indicator lamp will flash in the color relating to the battery level of the case.

If using a Nothing phone, you can set the widget on the lock screen or check the power status of the device in Quick Settings on the drop-down notification bar.

The open headphone design allows you to enjoy your music while staying aware of your environment. Kindly note that heavy background noise may affect your listening experience. Additionally, using Ear (Open) whilst driving or riding may violate local laws or community regulations. Please ensure you are compliant during wear.
