3.2 Mounting Options

The puck light offers two primary mounting methods:

  1. Magnetic Mounting: The puck light has a built-in magnetic back. It can be directly attached to any ferrous metal surface without additional hardware. This allows for easy removal for charging or repositioning.
  2. Adhesive Metal Disc Mounting: For non-magnetic surfaces (e.g., wood, plastic, drywall), use the provided adhesive metal discs. Clean the desired surface thoroughly. Peel the protective backing from an adhesive metal disc and firmly press it onto the surface. Once the disc is securely attached, the puck light can be magnetically mounted to the disc.

4. Operation

4.1 Power Modes

The puck light features an ON/OFF/AUTO switch to select the desired operating mode:

  • ON: The light will remain continuously on until manually switched off or the battery is depleted.
  • OFF: The light is turned off and will not activate.
  • AUTO: In this mode, the light will automatically turn on when motion is detected within its sensing range and sufficient darkness. It will turn off after a period of no motion.

4.2 Motion Sensing Functionality

When set to AUTO mode, the integrated motion sensor detects movement within approximately 15 feet. The light requires a certain level of ambient darkness to activate in AUTO mode, conserving battery life during daylight hours.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Charging

Recharge the puck light when its brightness diminishes or it stops activating. The charging time may vary depending on the power source. Use only the provided USB-C cable or a certified equivalent.

5.2 Cleaning

To clean the puck light, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the device.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Light Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the switch is in the 'ON' or 'AUTO' position.
    • Check if the battery is charged. Recharge the device if necessary.
  • Motion Sensor Not Activating:
    • Confirm the switch is in the 'AUTO' position.
    • Verify that the ambient light is low enough for activation. The sensor is designed to save power in well-lit environments.
    • Ensure motion is occurring within the 15-foot detection range.
    • Check for obstructions blocking the sensor.
  • Short Battery Life:
    • Frequent activation in 'AUTO' mode or continuous use in 'ON' mode will deplete the battery faster.
    • Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance.
    • Ensure the device is fully charged after each use.
