2. Safety Information
- Two-Person Installation: Due to the weight and size of the door panels and hardware, a minimum of two people is required for safe handling and installation.
- Secure Mounting: Ensure the mounting surface (wall or header board) is structurally sound and capable of supporting the door's weight. Use appropriate fasteners for your wall type.
- Proper Tools: Use the correct tools for each step to prevent damage to the product or injury. An Allen wrench drill bit is recommended for efficiency.
- Glass Handling: Exercise caution when handling the frosted glass panels to prevent breakage or injury.
- Clearance: Verify all necessary clearances before installation to ensure smooth operation and prevent obstructions.

5. Before Installation
5.1 Measure Your Opening
Accurate measurements are critical for proper door function. Refer to the sizing guide to ensure your door size matches your opening width and height. The track length and required clearance are also important considerations.

5.2 Required Tools (Not Included)
- Measuring Tape
- Pencil
- Level
- Drill with appropriate bits (wood and/or masonry, including an Allen wrench drill bit)
- Screwdriver (Phillips head)
- Wrench
- Stud Finder (if mounting to drywall)
- Safety Glasses
- Gloves
5.3 Wall Preparation
Ensure the wall above the door opening is flat and clear of obstructions. If mounting to drywall, it is highly recommended to install a header board (not included) securely into wall studs to provide adequate support for the heavy door and hardware. The header board should be at least as long as the track and thick enough to accommodate the mounting screws.
6. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps carefully for a successful installation. Refer to the included graphic and text manual for detailed diagrams.
6.1 Door Panel Assembly
- Lay out the door panels on a clean, flat surface.
- Attach the hinges to connect the two door panels as per the provided manual. Ensure hinges are aligned correctly for smooth folding.
- Install the handle onto one of the door panels.
6.2 Track Installation
- Determine the exact mounting height for the rail. This should be the door height plus the clearance needed for the rollers. Mark the drilling points on the wall or header board.
- Pre-drill holes at the marked locations. For wood, use a pilot drill bit. For masonry, use a masonry drill bit and anchors (not included, if needed).
- Attach the wall spacer kits to the wall.
- Mount the 52" rail securely to the wall spacers using the provided fasteners. Ensure the rail is perfectly level.

6.3 Roller and Door Hanging
- Attach the rollers and roller rotating bases to the top edge of the door panels as indicated in the manual.
- With assistance, carefully lift the assembled door panels and hook the rollers onto the installed rail.
- Install the roller fixator to prevent the rollers from sliding off the track.

6.4 Floor Guide and Sealing Strip
- Position the floor guide at the bottom of the door opening to ensure the door panels remain aligned during operation. Mark and drill holes, then secure the floor guide.
- Apply the sealing strip as directed in the manual for improved sound insulation and dust prevention.
7. Operation
The EaseLife Bifold Barn Door is designed for smooth, space-saving operation. To open the door, gently push the panels to fold them along the track. To close, pull the panels back into position. The bifold design allows for up to 50% space saving compared to traditional barn doors.

8. Maintenance
The door's PVC surface is designed to be water-proof and scratch-resistant, ensuring longevity and easy cleaning.
- Cleaning: Wipe the door panels and hardware with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the PVC surface or frosted glass.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all screws and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Tighten if necessary.
- Track Lubrication: If the door movement becomes stiff, apply a silicone-based lubricant to the track and rollers.
- Glass Care: Clean frosted glass panels with a standard glass cleaner and a soft cloth.

9. Troubleshooting
- Door does not slide smoothly: Check the track for obstructions or debris. Ensure the rollers are clean and properly seated on the track. Apply lubricant if needed. Verify the track is level.
- Door feels loose or wobbly: Re-check all mounting screws on the track and door hardware. Ensure the wall or header board provides adequate support.
- Wood strips easily during assembly: This can occur if pilot holes are not drilled correctly or if excessive force is used. Always pre-drill appropriate pilot holes and avoid over-tightening screws. If a screw hole is stripped, use a larger screw or a wood filler to repair the hole before re-inserting.
- Door panels do not align: Check hinge installation and adjustment. Ensure the floor guide is correctly positioned and secured.
- Installation seems complex: Review the step-by-step manual carefully. Ensure all measurements are accurate. Consider seeking professional assistance if you encounter significant difficulties, especially with wall preparation or heavy lifting.
