1. Product Overview
The GOTOTOP DN15 G1/2 Water Sensor Hall Effect Flowmeter is designed for measuring water flow. It consists primarily of a plastic valve body, a water rotor subassembly, and a Hall sensor. When water flows through the rotor subassembly, the magnetic rotor rotates, and its speed changes proportionally to the flow rate. The Hall sensor then outputs corresponding electrical pulses, which can be used by a controller to determine the water amount and adjust accordingly.
Key Features:
- Leak-proof Seal Ring: Features a unique mechanical structure with stress-tested seals to prevent leaks.
- Lightweight and Easy to Install: Compact design for convenient installation.
- Long-lasting Performance: Engineered for durability and extended service life.
- High-Precision Hall Effect Sensor: Encapsulated with glue for accurate measurements and water damage prevention.
- Stainless Steel Impeller: Internal impeller designed with a highly wear-resistant stainless steel shaft.

2. Safety Information
- Impact and Chemical Erosion: Avoid severe impact and exposure to chemical erosion.
- Handling: Do not throw or subject the sensor to collision.
- Water Flow Direction: Ensure the water detection direction is the same as indicated on the sensor.
- Water Temperature: The water temperature should not exceed 120℃ (248℉).
3. Installation and Setup
Components:
The sensor unit includes the main plastic valve body, an internal water rotor subassembly, and an integrated Hall sensor.
Wiring Diagram:
Connect the sensor wires as follows:
- Red Wire: IN+ (Positive power supply)
- Yellow Wire: OUT (Signal output)
- Black Wire: GND- (Ground)

Mounting Instructions:
The sensor features G1/2 (DN15) pipe threads for easy integration into existing plumbing systems. Ensure the sensor is installed with the water flow direction matching the arrow indicated on the sensor body.

4. Operation
Once installed and wired correctly, the sensor operates by detecting the rotation of its internal magnetic rotor. As water flows through the sensor, it causes the rotor to spin. The integrated Hall sensor detects this rotation and generates a series of electrical pulses. The frequency of these pulses is directly proportional to the water flow rate. These pulses are then sent to a connected controller or monitoring system for flow measurement and control.

5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your flow sensor, adhere to the following maintenance guidelines:
- Regularly inspect the sensor for any signs of physical damage or leaks.
- Keep the sensor free from debris and sediment that could impede rotor movement.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the sensor body.
- Ensure the operating water temperature remains within the specified limits (below 120℃).
- Periodically check wiring connections for security and integrity.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your flow sensor, consider the following:
- No Signal Output: Verify that the sensor is correctly wired (Red to IN+, Yellow to OUT, Black to GND-). Check power supply.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the water flow direction matches the arrow on the sensor. Check for any blockages or debris within the sensor that might hinder rotor movement. Confirm water temperature is within operating limits.
- Leaks: Inspect pipe connections for proper sealing. Ensure the sensor's seal ring is intact and correctly seated.
- Physical Damage: If the sensor has been subjected to severe impact or chemical exposure, it may be damaged and require replacement.
