Setup

1. Adjusting the Metal Watch Band

To ensure a comfortable fit, you may need to adjust the length of the metal watch band by removing or adding links. A band adjustment tool is typically included with the watch for this purpose.

  1. Wrist Watch Try-On Test: Before adjusting, try on the watch to determine how many links need to be removed. If removing multiple links, aim to remove an equal number from both sides of the clasp to maintain balance. For example, if 4 links need removal, remove 2 from the left and 2 from the right.
  2. Positioning the Band: Place the watch band onto the removal tool. Align the tool's pin with the hole on the side of the watch link.
  3. Removing Links: Use the thimble on the tool to rotate and push the link pin out. Repeat this step for each link you wish to remove.
  4. Reconnecting the Band: Once the desired number of links are removed, realign the remaining band sections. Insert a link pin in the direction of the arrow (if present on the band). Use the disassembly tool to gently push the pin back into place until it is flush with the side of the metal band.
  5. Final Check: Ensure all connections are firm and secure. Save any disassembled links, as they may be useful for future adjustments or repairs.

2. Setting Time and Date

The watch features a crown on the side for adjusting the time and date.

  1. Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the first click position. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
  2. Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the second click position. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in to the normal position to start the watch.

Operating Instructions

Luminous Function

The hands and hour markers of your OLEVS watch are coated with a luminous material. To activate the luminous effect, expose the watch dial to a bright light source (natural sunlight or artificial light) for a few minutes. The watch will then glow in the dark, allowing for visibility in low-light conditions. The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the exposure time and light intensity.

Maintenance

Water Resistance

Your OLEVS watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters (3ATM). This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as during hand washing. However, it is not designed for swimming, diving, or showering, especially with warm or hot water, as temperature changes can affect the seals. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.

General Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For the metal band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to harsh chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the case, band, or seals.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, which can affect the movement and water resistance.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as they can affect the accuracy of the quartz movement.
  • Impact: Protect the watch from strong impacts or drops.
