4. Operating the Cleaner

The AQQA AQ127 offers versatile cleaning functions. Always ensure the pump is fully submerged before activation.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the AQQA AQ127 is crucial for its longevity and optimal performance. It is recommended to clean the pump after each use.

5.1. Filter Cup Maintenance

The multi-layer filter cup contains three types of media:

  • Natural Cotton Filter Cotton: This layer provides the fastest filtration. It is disposable and should not be cleaned or reused. Replace as needed.
  • Ceramic Bio-balls: These can be rinsed gently with old tank water during maintenance to preserve beneficial bacteria.
  • Activated Carbon Filter Cotton: This can be cleaned and reused. Regular cleaning is recommended.
