Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Autoverve EV Charger Station, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Charger Not Powering On: Check the circuit breaker in your electrical panel to ensure it is not tripped. Verify that the NEMA 14-50 plug is fully inserted into the outlet or that the hardwired connection is secure.
- Charging Not Starting: Ensure the J1772 connector is fully and securely inserted into the vehicle's charging port. Check your vehicle's settings to ensure it's ready to accept a charge (e.g., not scheduled for a later time). Try tapping the RFID card again or using the app to initiate charging.
- Slow Charging: Verify that the charger's current setting (via app or display) is set to the desired amperage. Ensure your vehicle is capable of accepting the full 48-amp charge.
- Error Message on Display: Consult the user manual for specific error codes and their meanings. Disconnect and reconnect the charger to the vehicle and power source to reset.
- Overheating: If the charger unit or cable feels excessively hot, immediately disconnect it from the vehicle and power source. Allow it to cool down. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit and that the cable is not coiled tightly during charging.
