6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Recording

Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically start continuous loop recording. Video files are saved in segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes) to the MicroSD card. When the card is full, the oldest unlocked files will be overwritten.

6.2 G-Sensor & Emergency Lock

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, the current video segment will be automatically locked and saved to a protected folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical footage is preserved.

6.3 Parking Monitor (Requires Hardwire Kit)

With an optional hardwire kit (ASIN: B0D93KLNJR), the dash cam can monitor your vehicle 24/7. If an impact is detected while parked, the camera will automatically record a short video. This feature protects your car from theft and vandalism.

6.4 Time-Lapse Recording (Requires Hardwire Kit)

When enabled with a hardwire kit, the dash cam can record at 1 frame per second. Every 30 minutes of video will be compressed into 1 minute, saving memory while providing continuous surveillance of your parked vehicle.

6.5 GPS Functionality

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Device

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam's body and screen. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

7.2 MicroSD Card Management

Regularly format the MicroSD card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important files before formatting. Use high-quality, high-speed (Class 10 or U3 recommended) MicroSD cards up to 128GB.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Freezes/Doesn't Respond: Try restarting the device by unplugging and re-plugging the power cable. If the issue persists, insert a paperclip into the reset hole (if available) or hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. Ensure the MicroSD card is properly inserted and formatted.
  • Poor Video Quality: Ensure the lenses are clean and free from smudges or dust. Check that the protective film has been removed from the lens. Verify that the resolution settings are set to 4K (front) and 1080P (rear).
  • Suction Mount Not Sticking: Clean both the windshield and the suction cup thoroughly. Ensure the windshield is dry and free of grease. Apply slight pressure while flipping the lever to create a strong seal.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled. Stay within close proximity to the dash cam for a stable connection. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone's Wi-Fi.
  • Recording Stops or Files are Missing: This could indicate a faulty or incompatible MicroSD card. Try formatting the card or using a new, high-quality MicroSD card. Ensure loop recording is enabled and the card is not full of locked files.
  • Dash Cam Not Powering On: Check the car charger connection and ensure the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket is receiving power. Test the charger with another device if possible.
