Assembly

The Dough Spectrum Black 32 Monitor is designed for flexible installation. You can either attach the optional monitor stand or use a VESA-compatible mount (not included).

1. Attaching the Stand (if applicable):

   Carefully place the monitor face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches. Align the stand arm with the mounting slot on the back of the monitor. Secure the stand using the provided screws (if any) or by clicking it into place until it locks securely. Ensure all connections are firm.

2. VESA Mounting (optional):

   If using a VESA mount, ensure the stand is detached. Follow the instructions provided with your VESA mounting kit to attach the monitor securely. The monitor supports standard VESA mounting patterns.

Connecting to a Device

The monitor offers various input ports for connectivity. Connect your computer or other video source to the monitor using the appropriate cables.

• Standard Model: Features two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 input. A USB-C service port is available for firmware updates.
• Fully Equipped Model: In addition to the standard ports, this model includes a full docking solution with a USB hub, an RJ45 Ethernet port, and a USB-C video input with 100W power delivery.

Ensure all cables are securely connected to both the monitor and your source device. Connect the power cable to the monitor and then to a power outlet.

Operating the Monitor

Power On/Off

The power button is located on the bottom of the monitor. Press it to turn the monitor on or off. It features a built-in indicator light to show the monitor's status.

On-Screen Display (OSD) Navigation

The monitor's settings are managed through the On-Screen Display (OSD), accessed via a 5-way joystick located on the bottom of the monitor. A programmable shortcut button is also available.

• Accessing OSD: Click the center of the joystick to open the OSD menu.
• Navigation: Use the joystick to navigate through menu options.
• Quick Actions: The joystick directions can be programmed for quick access to specific functions. By default:
  • Left: Enables/adjusts the frame rate counter.
  • Right: Enables/customizes the crosshair.
  • Up: Cycles through Black Equalizer settings.
  • Down: Cycles through video inputs.

Key OSD Settings

The OSD is organized into several tabs for easy navigation:

• Input / Output: Select video input source, secondary input source, dual-screen mode, audio source, and adjust volume.
• Gaming: Configure settings relevant to gaming performance.
• Picture: Adjust color preset, color space (e.g., Display P3), brightness, brightness control (Standard, Tempered, Uniform), contrast, sharpness, color temperature, white point gain, gamma, and reduce color fringing.
• Performance:
  • Adaptive-Sync: Enable or disable for variable refresh rate.
  • Anti-flicker: Adjust frequency range to reduce flicker (Low, High).
  • Dual-mode: Switch between High Resolution Mode (4K 240Hz) and High Speed Mode (FHD 480Hz).
  • Black frame insertion: Enable for improved motion clarity at the cost of brightness.
  • Minimum strobe frequency: Set lower limit for black frame insertion.
  • Low-latency mode: Optimize for minimal input lag.
  • Faster start-up: Adjust monitor's power-on behavior.
• Presets: Load or save user presets, or restore factory defaults.
• OSD: Customize OSD language, position, rotation, transparency, and timeout. Configure quick actions for joystick directions and the custom button.
• Indicator Light: Adjust behavior (On, Off, Steady, Slow pulse, Fast pulse, Slow blink, Fast blink) and brightness of the power indicator light.
• Maintenance: Access burn-in prevention features such as Screen Shift, Screen Saver, Logo Extraction Algorithm, Menu Bar Detection, Local Brightness Control, Convex Power Control, TCE, Temporal Peak Luminance Control, Temporal Target Curve, and Uniformity Recovery. Also includes options for Energy Saving Mode, Transistor Wear Compensation, OLED Wear Compensation, and initiating firmware updates.
• Information: View monitor model, serial number, firmware version, and total usage time.

Dual-Mode Operation

The Dough Spectrum Black 32 offers two primary operational modes:

• High Resolution Mode: Delivers 4K (3840x2160) resolution at a 240Hz refresh rate.
• High Speed Mode: Provides Full HD (1920x1080) resolution at an accelerated 480Hz refresh rate, suitable for competitive gaming where maximum frame rates are critical. This mode also supports multiple emulated screen sizes.

Display Coating: Gorilla Glass vs. Matte

The monitor is available with two display coating options:

• Matte Coating: A standard anti-glare finish found on many monitors.
• Gorilla Glass Coating: Developed in partnership with Corning, this option enhances black levels, sharp detail, and vibrant colors by reducing reflections more effectively than traditional matte coatings, unleashing the full potential of the OLED panel.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Monitor

To clean the monitor screen, gently wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

OLED Image Retention Prevention

The Dough Spectrum Black 32 incorporates several features to mitigate image retention (burn-in) and prolong the lifespan of the OLED panel:

• Screen Shift: Automatically shifts the image slightly to prevent static elements from causing retention.
• Screen Saver: Activates a screen saver after a period of inactivity.
• Logo Extraction Algorithm: Detects and reduces the impact of static logos.
• Menu Bar Detection: Adjusts display behavior for static menu bars.
• Local Brightness Control: Manages brightness in specific areas to prevent overexposure.
• Convex Power Control: Optimizes power distribution across the panel.
• TCE (Temporal Contrast Enhancement): Enhances contrast dynamically.
• Temporal Peak Luminance Control: Manages peak brightness over time.

• No Power:
  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet.

• No Signal / Blank Screen:
  • Check that the video cables (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C) are securely connected to both the monitor and your source device.
  • Select the correct input source via the OSD menu (Input/Output tab).
