3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your heat press machine for first use.

4.2 General Heat Transfer Process
- Prepare your design on sublimation paper.
- Pre-heat the machine to the desired temperature.
- Place the item (e.g., T-shirt, mug) on the appropriate platen/attachment.
- Position the sublimation paper with the design face down onto the item. Secure with heat-resistant tape if needed.
- Swing the heating element over the item (if using swing-away design).
- Lower the handle to apply pressure. The timer will automatically start counting down.
- Once the timer reaches zero, the machine will beep. Lift the handle and swing the heating element away.
- Carefully remove the item and peel off the sublimation paper (hot peel or cold peel depending on the material and paper).

4.3.1 T-Shirt/Flat Item Pressing
- Attach the flat platen.
- Place the T-shirt or flat item on the platen. Ensure it is smooth and wrinkle-free.
- Place the sublimation paper face down on the item. Cover with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.
- Adjust pressure using the knob. Close the press and start the timer.

4.3.4 Plate Pressing
- Attach the correct size plate press attachment.
- Place the plate on the lower platen.
- Position the design on the plate.
- Close the press and start the timer.
5. Maintenance
