3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your heat press machine for first use.

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts listed in the packing list are present.
2. Placement: Place the main unit on a sturdy, level, and heat-resistant workbench. Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for safe operation and heat dissipation.

4.1 Digital Control Panel Operation

1. Power On: Flip the main power switch located on the side of the control box.
2. Set Temperature: Press the 'SET' button. The temperature display will flash. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the desired temperature (e.g., 385°F for sublimation). Press 'SET' again to confirm.
3. Set Time: After setting the temperature, press 'SET' again. The time display will flash. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the desired pressing time (e.g., 60 seconds). Press 'SET' one more time to confirm.
4. Heating: The machine will begin heating to the set temperature. The 'TEMP' indicator light will be on. Once the set temperature is reached, the machine will beep, and the 'TEMP' light may turn off or change color.

4.2 General Heat Transfer Process

1. Prepare your design on sublimation paper.
2. Pre-heat the machine to the desired temperature.
3. Place the item (e.g., T-shirt, mug) on the appropriate platen/attachment.
4. Position the sublimation paper with the design face down onto the item. Secure with heat-resistant tape if needed.
5. Swing the heating element over the item (if using swing-away design).
6. Lower the handle to apply pressure. The timer will automatically start counting down.
7. Once the timer reaches zero, the machine will beep. Lift the handle and swing the heating element away.
8. Carefully remove the item and peel off the sublimation paper (hot peel or cold peel depending on the material and paper).

4.3.1 T-Shirt/Flat Item Pressing

• Attach the flat platen.
• Place the T-shirt or flat item on the platen. Ensure it is smooth and wrinkle-free.
• Place the sublimation paper face down on the item. Cover with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.
• Adjust pressure using the knob. Close the press and start the timer.

4.3.2 Hat/Cap Pressing

• Attach the hat press attachment.
• Place the hat onto the curved platen.
• Position the design on the hat.
• Close the press, ensuring even pressure. Start the timer.

4.3.3 Mug/Tumbler Pressing

• Attach the appropriate mug press attachment.
• Wrap the sublimation paper tightly around the mug/tumbler and secure with heat-resistant tape.
• Insert the mug into the mug press. Adjust pressure so it's snug but not overly tight.
• Close the press and start the timer. If printing a full wrap design, rotate the mug halfway through the pressing time for even heat distribution.

4.3.4 Plate Pressing

• Attach the correct size plate press attachment.
• Place the plate on the lower platen.
• Position the design on the plate.
• Close the press and start the timer.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your heat press machine.

• Cleaning: After each use, allow the machine to cool down completely. Wipe down the heating platen and other surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn residue, use a mild cleaner specifically designed for heat press platens. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Storage: Store the machine in a dry, dust-free environment.
• Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. Check all connections and moving parts for wear and tear.
