4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install the DigitPro PCIe Capture Card into your computer:

1. Prepare Your Computer: Power off your computer and disconnect all cables. Open the computer case.
2. Locate a PCIe Slot: Identify an available PCIe x1 slot on your motherboard. The card is compatible with various PCIe slot sizes.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the capture card is installed and recognized by your system, you can begin capturing video and audio using compatible software.

5.1. Connecting Source Devices

Connect your analog video and audio sources to the corresponding input ports on the capture card:

• For composite video, use an RCA to BNC adapter (if necessary) to connect to the BNC input.
• For S-Video, connect directly to the S-Video input.
• For audio, connect a 3.5mm audio cable from your source to the 3.5mm audio input port.

5.2. Using Capture Software (e.g., OBS Studio)

The DigitPro PCIe Capture Card is compatible with various capture software. Here are general steps for using OBS Studio:

1. Install OBS Studio: If you don't have it, download and install OBS Studio from its official website.
2. Launch OBS Studio: Open the application.

• No Video Signal:
  • Ensure the capture card is securely seated in the PCIe slot.
  • Verify that the video source device is powered on and outputting a signal.

  • Test with a different video source or cable if possible.
• No Audio Signal:
  • Ensure the 3.5mm audio cable is securely connected to both the source and the capture card.

  • Verify the audio output from your source device.
• Poor Video Quality / Lag:
  • Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for video capture.

  • Verify the quality of your source video and cables. Analog signals can degrade over distance or with poor quality cables.
  • Close unnecessary applications running in the background to free up system resources.
• Card Not Recognized by OS:
  • Re-seat the card in the PCIe slot.
  • Try a different PCIe slot if available.
  • Ensure your operating system is one of the supported versions (Windows 8/10/11, Linux).
  • Check Device Manager (Windows) or lsusb / lspci (Linux) to see if the device is listed, even with an error.
