This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new Whirlpool FFB D96 BV IT 9 KG Front-Load Washing Machine. Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference. Proper use and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your washing machine.

Safety Information

- Ensure the appliance is properly grounded.
- Do not allow children to play on or in the appliance.
- Do not operate the washing machine if it is damaged or malfunctioning.
- Unplug the appliance before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
- Keep flammable materials away from the appliance.
Setup
1. Unpacking and Positioning
Carefully remove all packaging materials. The washing machine comes with a power cable. Ensure the machine is placed on a firm, level floor. Avoid direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

2. Leveling the Appliance
Use a spirit level to check if the washing machine is perfectly level. Adjust the adjustable feet at the bottom of the appliance until it is stable and level. This prevents excessive vibration and noise during operation.
3. Water Supply Connection
Connect the water inlet hose to a cold water tap with a 3/4-inch thread. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. Do not use old hoses; always use the new hoses supplied with the appliance.
4. Drain Hose Connection
Position the drain hose at a height between 65 cm and 100 cm from the floor. Ensure the hose is securely fixed to prevent it from dislodging during draining.
5. Electrical Connection
Plug the power cable into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency match the specifications on the appliance's rating plate. Do not use extension cords or multiple adapters.
Operating the Washing Machine
1. Control Panel Overview
The control panel features a program selector knob, function buttons, and a digital display. Familiarize yourself with these controls before starting a wash cycle.

2. Loading Laundry
Open the door and load the laundry into the drum. Do not overload the machine; refer to the program chart for maximum load capacities. Close the door firmly.
3. Adding Detergent and Additives
Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer. Add the appropriate amount of detergent to the main wash compartment and any fabric softener or pre-wash detergent to their respective compartments. Close the drawer.
4. Selecting a Program
Turn the program selector knob to choose the desired wash program. The digital display will show the default settings for the selected program.
Available Programs:
- Mixed: For washing lightly to normally soiled resilient garments in cotton, linen, synthetic fibers, and mixed fibers.
- Whites: For heavily soiled whites and resilient colors.
- Cotton: For normally to heavily soiled cotton items.
- Eco 40-60: Standard program for normally soiled cotton laundry declared to be washable at 40 °C or 60 °C, together in the same cycle.
- Sport: For washing lightly soiled sports clothing.
- Duvets: For washing items padded with goose down, such as single duvets, cushions, or anoraks.
- Steam Refresh: A short program to refresh garments by removing odors and relaxing fibers using steam.
- Spin & Drain: Drains the water and performs a spin cycle.
- Synthetics: For washing normally soiled synthetic items.
- Delicates: For washing delicate garments.
- Wool: For wool garments, hand-wash items.
- 20°C: For lightly soiled cotton garments at a low temperature.
- Rapid 30': A quick wash program for lightly soiled items.
- Rinse & Spin: Performs a rinse and spin cycle.
5. Program Options and Special Features
You can customize your wash cycle using the option buttons:
- Temperature: Adjust the wash temperature.
- Spin Speed: Modify the spin speed up to 1200 RPM.
- FreshCare+: This technology keeps your garments fresh for up to 6 hours after the cycle ends, using gentle tumbling and steam to prevent odors and keep laundry soft.
- 6th Sense Technology: Intelligent sensors adapt resources (water, energy, time) based on the load size and fabric type, ensuring optimal care and efficiency.
- SenseInverter Motor: Provides quiet operation, optimized energy consumption, and long-lasting performance.
6. Starting a Program
Press the Start/Pause button to begin the selected wash program. The door will lock, and the cycle will commence.
