Upon unboxing your OPPO A40, please verify that all components are present:

Setup
1. Inserting SIM Cards and microSD Card
The OPPO A40 supports Dual-SIM functionality and microSDXC expansion. Use the provided SIM ejector tool to open the SIM tray.
- Locate the SIM tray on the side of your device.
- Insert the SIM ejector tool into the small hole on the SIM tray and push gently until the tray pops out.
- Place your Nano-SIM cards into the designated slots (SIM 1 and SIM 2). Ensure the gold contacts face downwards.
- If using a microSDXC card for expanded storage, place it into its dedicated slot.
- Carefully push the SIM tray back into the device until it is flush with the side.
Important: This smartphone is compatible with GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile. It will NOT work with CDMA networks like Verizon or Sprint. Please verify network compatibility with your provider before use.
2. Charging the Battery
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device battery.
- Connect the USB cable to the charging port on your phone.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible power adapter (not always included) and plug it into a power outlet.
- The charging indicator will appear on the screen.
The device features a 5100 mAh non-removable battery. For optimal charging, use OPPO-approved chargers and cables.
Operating Your Device
Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the OPPO logo appears.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Power off" from the options on the screen.
- To Restart: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Restart" from the options.
Display and Navigation
The OPPO A40 features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1604 pixels resolution and Panda glass protection.

Navigate the device using touch gestures: tap, swipe, pinch-to-zoom. The Android 14 operating system with ColorOS 14 provides an intuitive user interface.
Camera Usage
The device is equipped with a 50 MP main camera (f/1.8, wide, PDAF, auxiliary lens) and a 5 MP front camera (f/2.2, wide).

To open the camera application, tap the Camera icon on the home screen or app drawer. Select between photo, video, and other modes. Tap the shutter button to capture images or start/stop video recording.
Storage and Performance
The OPPO A40 comes with 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 processor and Adreno 610 GPU ensure smooth performance for daily tasks and applications.

You can manage storage by deleting unnecessary files or moving them to the microSD card. The device also supports RAM expansion, utilizing a portion of the internal storage to act as additional RAM for improved multitasking.
Maintenance
Battery Care
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 35°C).
- Do not fully discharge the battery frequently. Charge it before it drops below 20%.
- Use only original or certified chargers and cables.
