5. Setup
5.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device (refer to Image 4.1).
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On/Off
- To power on the device, press the Power On/Measurement Button. The LCD display will illuminate.
- To power off the device, press and hold the Power On/Measurement Button for approximately 3 seconds. The device will also automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
6.2. Using the Laser Measure
The laser measure function is ideal for long-distance measurements up to 130ft (40m).
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Point the laser beam outlet towards the target surface.
- Press the Power On/Measurement Button once to activate the laser.
- Press the Power On/Measurement Button again to take a measurement. The distance will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- To change measurement units (meters, inches, feet, feet+inches), press the Unit Conversion Button. The display will cycle through the available units.
Note: The laser measurement is taken from the back edge of the device. Accuracy is within 1/8 inch.

6.3. Using the Tape Measure
The traditional tape measure is suitable for short-range measurements up to 16ft (5m).
- Pull the tape out from the device. The tape features a self-locking mechanism that holds it in place once extended.
- To retract the tape, press the Retract Button located on the top of the device. The tape will smoothly retract into the housing.

7. Maintenance
- Clean the device regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the laser lens clean to ensure accurate measurements.
